Maybe it isn't a OEM part, but it's a bunch cheaper and it's a perfect replacement - ie - it's a replacement part. Not a lot of fun to replace, but no different than any other, it's a perfect fit. It's unlikely you'll ever have to do it more than once (I know I've never replaced a brake switch a second time in my entire life.). When you need this part, there's really not much of an alternative, you need this part !!!!
