Product Description

Mixed 5-1/8" slip-on diverter tub spout. Fits 1/2" Quikspout slip-on or 1/2" nominal (5/8 OD) iron pipe. Tub spout length is 5-1/8". Update your bathtub with a Mixed chrome diverter tub spout for a stylish and updated appearance. Most tub diverter spouts have a simple lift gate that diverts the flow of water to the shower head. Higher water pressures can cause some water to continue to flow directly through the tub spout, instead of the shower head. The result is wasted water and wasted energy to heat that water. With the Mixed Positive Action Shut-Off Diverter spout, the water pressure acts like a positive force moving the spring in the Mixed Spout to activate the water sealing washer and O-ring. Very little water escapes from the tub spout saving water and saving money! Mixed OEM reference #71. Perfect for contractors, maintenance/repair professionals and do-it-yourself home owners. Genuine OEM Mixed faucet replacement Quikspout Slip On diverter tub spout. Installation instructions are included.

Bought this to replace the same model that was at least 15 years old and very corroded. Works great, has nice flow and little to no water leakage while the shower diverter is on. I recommend getting some 400, 600, and 1000 sand paper if you have copper pipes as any scuffs, unevenness, or deposit build up will make a microscopic clearance difference. I couldn't get the spout on until I sanded it to a shiny penny color and then it went on easily.

Excellent diverter spout. Regular diverter spouts leak by design, which, over time, unnecessarily wastes a lot of energy and water. It was very easy to install, too.

We need a replacement to our old shower diverter that was always leaking at the spout while the shower was running. I did a little research into this diverter and found it was exactly what we needed. Simple slip on connection with the twist of 1 easy to reach screw and our shower problems are fixed. All the water goes to the shower and none to the bathtub and it switches itself off once the shower is done. A great little shower diverter!

My old tub had a brand name / big name spout with a shower diverter and the diverter was absolutely terrible. It seldom shunted even 2/3 of the water to the shower when activated, meaning lots of water still came out of the tub spout (an annoying waste) and the water pressure out of the shower head left a lot to be desired. On top of that , the diverter often jammed, meaning the only way to stop the shower was to cut off all the water - if you tried to push the diverter button back down like you can on most such spouts, you would almost break the spout off the wall. This was both annoying and a hazard. So, I read some if the reviews for Mixet BrassCraft and noticed they used a different design for the diverter and that most folks thought he diverter worked great. It didn't hurt that the Mixet was 1/2 the price of what a comparable replacement by the same brand name manufacturer would have been.....and did I mention the brand name one sucked ?I installed the new Mixet in less than a minute after unpacking it. Super easy install in my case. Did the diverter work? Hell, yeah. 100% of the water goes to the shower when you activate the diverter: not even a trickle comes out of the spout. Awesomeness and just what I wanted. So, what are the (minimal) cons of this faucet? Well, if you are used to being able to turn off the shower and revert to tub spout flow by pushing or pulling the diverter a second time, the Mixet doesn't allow this. You have to shut off the water totally to stop the shower and reset the diverter. This might irritate some folks, but IMHO its a small price to pay for less wasted water, a higher pressure shower, and a diverter that doesn't make me seethe in frustration. The other con is the set screw that locks the spout onto the pipe is very conspicuous and protrudes on one side of the spout. Most manufacturers put a set screw in a more hidden location, like on the underside of the spout. In looking at the design, it appeared that the Mixet could have done this too, but chose not too for some reason. The finish on the set screw on the Mixet matches the finish of the spout (chrome, in my case) so it could have been worse. So, all in all, a home run, in my view , to finally have a diverter that works so well. If they had just put that set screw in a more hidden location, it could have been a bases-loaded grand slam !

This little gem works exactly how a diverter spout should work. Strong engagement with no drips. Turn the water off and it snaps open to let the residual water drain out from the shower head. Perfect. Now why cant the BIG guys make a spout that works properly like this? Moen..... hello.... are you listening????Don't hesitate to purchase. It installed in a couple of minutes and it works great. The ONLY criticism I would have is the set screw on the side. Not particularly the greatest looking but it sure does work well. I think the bottom would have been a better spot for it.

It is better quality than more expensive brand name ones I have looked at, the diverter works well, and was easy to install.

After wasting both time and $ at a local hardware store and a plumber's supply on no-name slip-on faucets (the only ones they had in stock) that were a pain to install, I decided to try my luck on Amazon. After a bit of poking around I decided on the BrassCraft MXT01, and I am so glad I did. Arrived quickly, feels substantial, great design. The adjustment for the clamp is on the side of the unit (rather than underneath where you can't see it), which might be bothersome to some aesthetically (I think it looks fine) but the ease of installation and solidity of the unit more than make up for that. Plus, it's an actual clamp that distributes the pressure, rather than a set-screw that digs into the copper. Went on in under a minute, works great, no leaks, no fuss.I never write reviews, but after all the time I wasted running around, installing and uninstalling cheap tub-spouts, when this thing showed up it seriously made my day. Go there.

This tub spout is outstanding! A solid piece of all metal engineering. First, the slip on attachment is solid and easy to tighten. It is not a single screw biting into the pipe like usual, but an internal collar that is tightened by a side set screw for a very solid all over attachment to the pipe. This needs that because there is absolutely no leakage from the spout when you switch it to shower so the pressure is all there!! Yay! Also, it is extremely easy to engage with a solid feel and when you shut of the water will automatically disengage so no surprise shower in the head when turning on the tub nor any change of water accumulating in the spout to leave mineral deposits.Oh, make sure you clean the pipe thoroughly with some emery paper and when sliding on make sure you have some plumbers grease (a water resistant silicon based lubricant). Apply liberally and push on and tighten. So easy!An all-around solid tub spout. I liked it so much I went and ordered another one for the other bathroom and it attached just as easily and worked just as well.

A product deserves five stars when it performs exactly as described and has excellent fit and finish. This spout is extremely easy to install; just loosen the set screw, which is on the side of the spout, slide the spout onto the copper pipe, then tighten the set screw. So much easier than most spouts that have the set screw recessed in the back bottom of the spout. The spring loaded diverter works flawlessly. My old Kohler spout, with a typical pull up seal, leaked profusely after only five years (water not hard). The BrassCraft has a very small drip; one drop at a time. This spout is made of chrome plated metal, extremely solid, and the finish is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this replacement tub diverter spout.
