I wanted to comment regarding a few other post's that I have seen saying this is thin glass. This is 100% an exact replacement of the original direct from Braun. There is nothing thin or different about this replacement from the original that came with the coffee maker. My factory original lasted three years and would have lasted linger had it not slipped from my wet hand after washing and come crashing down onto the kitchen floor.

We ordered this as a replacement when I broke our Ninja pot for CP301. It fits perfect, seems like strong glass. I actually like this one better; we had taken the plastic top off the Ninja because I didn't like that there was a plastic tube sitting in the coffee for long periods. This one doesn't have the tube, the coffee passes through a hole in the top and that's it. The top is very easily removed for cleaning. All in all wish it were cheaper of course but good purchase.

After about a year, we broke the carafe to our Ninja Dual Brew Pro CFP300 and there was no replacement pot available from Ninja. This one from Braun works perfectly. It fits the warming plate, has a central hole in the lid, and accommodates the 55 oz full carafe brew setting. This has a 10 cup mark as max, but there is room above that, so it still fits the 12 cups that the Ninja makes. This was a great find!Update: It’s still working well for us. If you’re using it with the Ninja coffeemaker mentioned above, be careful using this carafe with the cleaning function on the Ninja. It uses more water than the carafe will hold.

The first carafe felt very flimsy and thin, that's how it broke originally. The plastic part fell right off the original and shattered the carafe on the floor. This one feels very solid and I've been using it daily with no problems. Doesn't feel like it's going to break and doesn't feel thin like the oem one. Very proud of this item.

Let me start by saying I love this coffee maker overall. It is high maintenance overall but the coffee is worth it. I do put this carafe in the dishwasher once a week. It is much easier to clean that way. One major thing to watch out for is when you take it out of the dishwasher water gets hung up in the top part. So when you flip it right side up a lot of water and debris will come out and run down the sides of the carafe. It is hard to believe how much water gets hung up in that area. So I end up giving it a light hand wash anyways. However, It doesn't build up coffee stains. Each time it broke (twice before) I just ended up hitting my granite countertop. Not hard either but I guess I just hit it right.
