We needed an alarm for during the day-we have one for each of my wife's parents who are living with us now and they work great. We have both pads paired to one monitor. The detecting range of the monitor is very good

No on/off switch to save battery life. Alerts need louder setting. Battery compartment on transmitter has 4 screws making them more difficult to replace. Probably good idea if patient is higher functioning and likely to try to remove batteries. I would like AC option with battery backup. Did like that multiple pads could be linked to one receiver

Works well.Putting the batteries in is kind of a pain, but other than that, it works great as an alert
