About this item

  • 100% Buffered Coco Coir for Plants - Our coco coir block has been pre-buffered to cut down excess salts and stabilize pH levels, saving you the time and hassle of buffering it yourself. This enhances nutrient availability and soil balance, making Buffered Coco Bliss an ideal soil amendment for indoor plants, outdoor plants, and more.
  • Pre-Rinsed & Pre-Screened Coco Coir - Every block of our coconut fiber substrate has been screened multiple times through an extremely small filter to get rid of any traces of fiber, sand, and rocks. This is what sets our coco coir apart, giving you pure and clean coco coir for plants, unlike others who don’t filter their coco coir for impurities.
  • Natural Soil Amendment for Plants - Coconut fiber is a 100% organic and renewable soil amendment that works as a growing medium for succulents, herb planters, seedlings, vegetables, flowers, indoor house plants, indoor gardens, and more. Simply expand and mix with plant soil or organic potting soil for indoor plants or outdoor plants.
  • Excellent Moisture Retention - After expanding in water, coconut coir bricks can be broken up and used as seed starter soil in gardening pots, garden containers, and garden terraces. Coco fiber absorbs and retains moisture, ensuring your plants stay hydrated. Its high cation exchange capacity (CEC) and neutral pH greatly improve nutrient uptake.
  • Sustainable Growing Medium - Compressed coco coir for plants is made from renewable coconut husks that would otherwise be thrown away. Unlike peat moss, coco coir is 100% natural and doesn’t contribute to the destruction of natural wetlands, making Coco Bliss an environmentally sustainable choice for your growing needs!

I am in a wheelchair and have a raised garden to grow the food I need for a year. The buffering of this Coco Bliss makes a BIG difference. It changes the texture of the soil to aerate it, retains water yet it drains well with no downsides. Truly great stuff and worth every penny. I'd give it a 5 star, but I never trust a 5 star rating.

Comes in a big block so you have to chip it away with a utensil. I like to shred it and mix in perlite and peat moss with it. Helps to hold moisture in my plants and requires less soil if mixed in.

Plantonix Coco Bliss is the fastest-growing medium I’ve used outside of hydroponics. It minimizes pests like fruit flies and gnats and has greatly reduced nutrient deficiencies in my grows. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean and effective medium!

At first I was not expecting this to go as easy as it was, but after slowly adding slightly warmer water (80 degrees over 1hr period, 8gal total) it expanded quite easily and did not require much of a break up by hand on my part. Although I had already broken the block into about 7-8 smaller chunks it did not take an incredible amount of skill to properly complete this task. The end product well above my expectations. Yielded approx. 17-18gal after adding 3 gal of perlite. Nice, light, slightly fluffy feel with proper amount of moisture remaining (not soaked/dripping wet). The fact is is already buffered is a big plus and saved a few extra steps. I will be using this going forward without hesitation until I see reason otherwise. FANTASTIC product.TIP: although the finished product was immaculate I'd say, It may require at least one rinse/drain rinse wash for "super fine dust fibers" of extremely tiny coco fiber dust before prepping or adding amendments or additives for you plants. I only had to wash/drain rinse one time in 18 gal tote bin with pre-drilled holes.

My plants grew new roots really fast and were really healthy when I used this coir as a mix combined with perlite and bagged potting soil. I think the fact that this coir is buffered really made the difference in plant health compared to some other bricks I have purchased at local hardware stores. Also This coir brick was easier to rehydrate than some other products and it was possible to break the brick into smaller chunks so I could rehydrate it in smaller quantities. I like this coir product so much that I’m going to purchase more of it and repot many of my plants into new pots using this coir as part of the perlite/potting soil I mix up. This coir does NOT retain too much moisture and works well for my small succulents when mixed with other soil components.

I really like this stuff. My first time purchasing it, I saw recommendations on Youtube on using coir to make potting soil drain better. At first I was confounded on how to break it apart and only use part of the solid 10 lb block since it didn't need the whole thing for the plants I was re-potting at the time. So I look on Youtube again, and with a small hammer and screwdriver, just tapped the block vertically, and voila! What I needed came right off easily. I like this brand, no weird smell, no random new bugs hatching, it is a clean, really nice product, and I am going to buy more for my garden in the spring. Enjoy!

Staple ingredient for my plant soil mixes. Easy to split off from main block in flakes. No issues.
