This kit worked out well for putting 14" apes on my 2004 Heritage. Although I cant say I thoroughly read the directions. what I did read was helpful. The included wiring diagram for writing in the the wire colors was helpful. Once I figured out how to pull the plugs apart the wiring extensions went pretty quick. Getting the tank off was required but I managed to get it pulled back far enough to unplug the harness without removing the tanks crossover hose. I drained the transmission before taking off the trans cover and luckily didn't need to adjust my clutch, so that went well also. All in all a decent kit with everything I needed except the gear oil and trans cover gasket. I spent a total of about 8 hours (taking my time) over two days installing the kit. I referenced a couple videos to help me along. If I did it again it would be much quicker. I did have a gift card that cut the price down, If I was to do it again I would price out the parts separately just to see if I could save some money, BUT>>>>buying a kit specifically for my bike for certain height bars and not having to worry about getting the right length cables when buying separately cut down on a lot of unknowns and frustration on my end....GOOD KIT
