Featuring two rows of case-hardened nails, this unit is built to deeply penetrate the surface, helping to loosen packed material and promote better playability. Description The nails are staggered on each row to prevent clumping, and their size is specifically designed to fit between the alley tapes, ensuring efficient coverage without disturbing the court's layout. The scarifier is equipped with levered wheels that lift it over the alley tapes, allowing you to leave them in place during scarification. The nails are angled in such a way that they self-sharpen with use, maintaining their effectiveness over time. As the nails wear down, you can adjust the steel rails to lower them for continued optimal performance. For added convenience, the steel nail plate is removable, making nail replacement quick and easy. This 48"-wide, towable model is ideal for a variety of court conditions, particularly indoor courts or sunbaked southern courts prone to excessive calcium buildup. Its heavy-duty design allows it to tackle even the most compacted surfaces, and the adjustable tow hitch ensures compatibility with most utility vehicles. For proper storage, keep the nails off the ground and the wheels in the down position to maintain the unit’s longevity and performance.
