Short, lightweight, well-made and perfect for a smaller vehicle like a Crosstrek. The carrying case is nice and it’s roomy enough to accommodate a collapsible shovel.

I own a Jeep, and it gets to play off-road, though not as often as I'd like. If you're going to play outside, regardless of the activity, you need to have the right gear. You can't always trust 4wd to get you out of a tough spot, and a winch, while incredibly effective, is timing consuming and not always the best option (what if you don't have a good nearby anchor?). You need alternatives, especially if you're in a situation where you might have to off-road alone.I already carry tow straps, shackles, a snatch block, and other things, but I didn't have a set of traction boards, so when I saw these I jumped. For those that aren't aware, traction boards are things you can slip under your tires to get traction. It's a similar principle to carrying kitty litter in the winter. If you can just get enough grip to move the tires a bit you can often move yourself out of hole in which you're stuck, or sometimes you have to daisy chain boards along to get out. No matter how you do it, these can save your day. These are a nice set of traction boards! The plastic is very, very thick, and the treads on them is very aggressive. The kit comes with two boards, which allows you to daisy chain them if needed, or to get them under two tires. These are smaller boards, they make bigger ones that are much longer, but I would prefer two smaller ones to one large one. These even come with a carry bag, which is very helpful.I'm excited to add these to my off-road kit, and unless they break they will stay part of that kit. Once I have a chance to really play with them on a trail I'll try to remember to update this review. Until then, I highly recommend!

These are great. I say this for several reasons. First, they are fairly strong and provide a good amount of traction to get your vehicle wedged out of a position where it may be stuck. Second, they come in a travel bag and fit together easily. Third, they are light weight and may be stowed in multiple places and utilized at a moments notice. They are a bit short which is not to much of an issue but for any serious off roader it is probably recommended to have a wrench, spotter, and or some type of pully mechanism too. Personally I am using them in a two wheel drive truck. I tow a twenty foot trailer and go boondocking extensively. There are occasions where I do not park on pavement... actually a lot of times. These come in handy when my truck sinks a little and makes it difficult to get the truck out of the mud, sand, or whatever else I encounter. Wish I had a 4x4 but it is what it is... these have already come in handy a couple times. I had been using 2x4 pieces of wood that I had grinded to try to have some traction but they did not work like these do. If the dirt is really soft I still carry the 2x4's simply to park on, you know... the more mass you have, the less likely you are to sink. Part of the reason you see big tires on suv's and trucks lol... sorry off topic, these get the job done. If you are doing serious off roading' I would recommend getting the longer traction boards though

These work as advertised. I got stuck in the sand on a trip to the Mojave Desert, and these got me right out. I love that they come in a bag, and they can fit behind my single-cab seat. They are also lightweight.

A nice pair of traction boards for a great price. These boards function just as well as any of the high priced brand names and cost far less. They work well in the Florida sugar sand, easily letting me claw my way out of some deep ruts I slid into. The boards seem to hold up well showing little to no wear after several uses.

I actually got the chance to use these recently after having them since June. They worked really well - I actually only needed one for someone stuck on a trail I was on.Like I said the small size makes them easy for me to always have in my Jeep. I didn't get any photos of them in action but they cleaned up well and didn't even have a scratch on them.I put a photo of them under my wheels so you can get some perspective of the size. I have 12.5x35 inch tiresI also like that they have a carry case. Not needed but nice.Price on these is pretty good in my opinion as well.

So I’m not one of those guys that likes to have all these bright colors on their trucks. My truck is black and white and look perfect. I haven’t had to use them yet, but they do seem very, very sturdy and a very high-quality. I think they are total value. The size is perfect for my application.
