...which I needed to do while swapping data and drives out of my previous gaming build. This cable saved me multiple monitor swaps and made the entire process hours shorter. If you needed one of these long term, I would recommend it as well, as it's a very nicely made cable.

I purchased this cable for my desktop to work from home. I was surprised at how fast I received. The Quality of the product is as good as I can expect for the price. It served it’s purpose well.

I have a 5 or 6 year old monitor with one DVI input and one VGA input. I've been using the DVI input with my home desktop. Now that I'm working from home, I need to hook up my work laptop to my monitor, and I was tired of swapping the cables from the back of the monitor. This adapter lets me use the displayport output on my desktop PC to the VGA input on my monitor. And I already have an HDMI to DVI cable that I use to connect my laptop to the other port on the monitor.I read online that using this type of cable would make my picture quality worse, because VGA is analog rather than digital. But I don't notice any difference. My monitor is 1680 X 1050 and it still looks fine to me. Maybe DVI to VGA no longer has that problem? Or maybe the problem only shows up with some graphics cards or some brands of monitors. Either way, I'm glad I'm getting a clear picture from this cable.

CableMatters is a brand I have come to trust; even if there are cheaper cables out there, I learned with electronics you always get what you pay for. I’ve been using this cable for about a month without any issues to connect an old 1080p secondary monitor to my 2060S card. No flickering, no display glitches or weird lines. It just works.

Das Kabel funktioniert einwandfrei. Schließt meinen 17 Zöller wunderbar an meine Grafikkarte an.

Item arrived on time, packaged well. Worked as advertised. No problems whatsoever. PC has both DisplayPort and HDMI output but no VGA output (that's so 1990), one the TV/monitor, the HDMI input was non-functional, but the VGA input worked so I ordered and used this cable. It was totally plug and play - plug into the DisplayPort output of the PC and into the VGA input of the TV/monitor. Saved me from having to consider less desirable solutions - either use an HDMI to VGA cable (quirky) or replace the TV/monitor (expensive).

I was fortunate enough to go to Google IO in 2012 and they gave us all Chromeboxes. The chrome box works great but was very limited in its uses so I put Ubuntu on it and its not a media pc. This cable allowed me to hook the Chromebox up to my TV so it can remain on all the time. No issues with resolution, noise, or any other typical problem you get with cheap cables. This cable is made well and doesn't look cheap. Would by again if I needed another one.

I eventually got the cable to work when I reversed the monitors I was using. The one monitor I wanted to use it with would not work because the plastic housing was too fat around the display port part to allow a snug fit. But, luckily i had two different types of monitor and the other worked just fine. No connectivity issues, seems very durable. Obviously a good price

I can't believe Amazon let's sellers that try to bribe their customers remain on their site. Maybe if you made a quality product you wouldn't have to bribe your customers to remove negative feedback to continue to trick people to buy such terrible products.

Within my work, I use programs that require rather different graphics card to what gamers and most people will need. Many of these graphics cards in modern forms will generally only have two options: DisplayPort, and DVI-DL. When it comes to monitors for these two, you're either going to have to buy an adaptor cable for a usual monitor, or just buy a monitor which can take either. As a result of my monitor breaking, I felt I should buy a cable to adapt my VGA monitor to my graphics card for a minimum of downtime. As a result, I bought this cable.I'm thankful I did because it doesn't degrade the image at all, compared to many other cables which can drop the signal at the slightest radio interferance or other problem with the signal - it holds its own quite well. The VGA portion of the cable is quite large as noted, which can be a pain, but it isn't an eyesore as it is just worthy of consideration. While I have no doubt some will look elsewhere for the perfect cable, this is still very good and worthy of consideration. Your work won't suffer if you can deal with what may be a slight loss of image quality, but at this price I can't complain at all.
