Got this kit today. Loved it but after further review the painted image is crooked on the canvas therefore the overall finished piece will not be even. Disappointed.

I bought this kit as a gift for my niece and it's so beautiful I am having a hard time letting go of it. She's such a busy young woman that I think the right thing to do is give her the gift of the completed and framed project instead! 😁😇 Right?!?

The project is lovely but very difficult to do. Certainly not for beginners and I'm sort of in-between - not new to needlepoint but not familiar with a lot of various stitches either. I mostly do the continental stitch I guess it's called. Very basic. This particular project is very difficult because the holes are quite small and my eye sight is not all that great. It also calls for the basket weave stitch to be done for the background which I'm not familiar with. I have, however, looked it up on the internet and just takes a little practice to learn, I guess. For those that are familiar with all the various needlepoint stitches this should be a piece of cake to complete. Once it is complete whether you're familiar with various stitches or not, will be a nice picture to hang somewhere or give as a gift. Certainly a bit of a challenge for people like myself that fall somewhere in the middle of needlepoint experience. Definitely not a project for beginners. Would I do this type of project again? Probably not. Whatever is easiest on the eyes and less challenging to complete works fine for me. However, for more experienced needlepoint crafters this project is perfect.

The cutest thing to make, having lots of fun, What else do you offer? Only 1 thing, ran out of the dark brown and the white background, but got it both at Joanne's Fabrics - no worry! I was going to write to you anyway because it is so nice. I embellished it by bordering it with 5 rows of 3 shades of purple because it is for a friend who loves purple. So, it looks quite pretty and complete! Monika

Ah, the Songbird! It's stitched but waiting to be framed because I would like for all of my Canoodles pieces to be framed alike. It's an adorable piece.
