Worked well to replace the broken knob on my Miata stock shifter. Plastic adapters he no internal threads. You have to start screwing them down onto the shifter and it cuts threads in the process. It fits very tight this way.

Although the blue anodized shift ball looks and feels nice, the included adapters are not. No threading inside. This is not listed as a requirement of installation. You will need to cut your own threads. If it was steel or aluminum, or nylon adapters, that would be acceptable, but these adapters are a hard, non ABS, brittle plastic. Not a winning combo.
