Caught mine on a rock while out wheeling in my Jeep and it snapped like a twig. If you’re an off-roader it’s probably best to go with something made of steel rather than aluminum. As far as it’s utility as a step, it works like a charm.

The hoop steps were a breeze to install, you need a power drill and two different size drill bits. After installation they look great on my TJ, and make getting into our Jeep much easier. Would recommend if you don’t want expensive running boards and just need a little step up!

Great hoop step, very sturdy and quality finish. If mounting on a Jeep TJ, and you want them at the best offset from body edge, you’ll need to get new longer bolts and make spacers so you can bolt steps to underside of floor pan (about centered under driver & passenger seats)…takes some patience and time but end result is def worthwhile.

I read many reviews before purchasing these, I am so glad that I did. As many others have shared, the instructions with these are amazing. They aren't some horrible English translation with tiny pictures. I was able to install both of these in about an hour and a half (counting interruptions and beer refills). I did break my 1/8" drill bit, but that was my fault for not letting it cool down. These are extremely sturdy and I have no doubts they will last a very long time.

Solid steps. Good install instructions. They look good, they work good and now the wife can get into the Jeep no problems. It was these or a rope ladder.

I am super impressed and happy with this product. It installed quickly and easily and looks like a very durable product that will last a long long time. I was really happy to see that this was made in the USA. As other reviewer‘s stated it took almost just as much time to find my tools as it did to do the installation itself. I got this as a Christmas present So that I won’t have to lift my son in and out of the jeep every time we go anywhere this coming year. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Again for the second time today I am shamelessly rating a product with five stars. Why! well for once I got a nicely priced unit that had good instructions (be sure to note the comment about your wiring harness), I have a 2000 jeep SE and it will fit in only one location forget the note about adjusting to your seat position if you have a 2000 Wrangler SE. But it fit perfectly as if MOPAR wanted it there. Hardware was very good quality nothing stripped and I like to torque things down. Make note of the note, add sealant to hardware where penetrating the Jeep. This is not to keep water out by the way but to prevent Electrolysis of the nickle plated screws and your steel body. Not a good thing if you want to keep your jeep from rusting out around the hardware. I used a no name brand of silicone but made sure the screws were coated and the areas of penetration through the body. Too much may be messy but too little is worse than not putting it on. just clean up the mess and move on.Take note on my jeep body where this must go, the self tapping screw is a real pain to install due to the added body stiffeners welded under the seat. Take your time and use the largest drill you can and still not strip out. I have a number drill set and inched my way up until i could manage to get the screws to cut a tap in the harden layers of metal. forgot to note the size sorry just take your time don't make big steps in the drill bit. If you do don't panic your local hardware store sells a lot of screws you can use.I am definitely a shade tree mechanic who has learned the hard way that haste does not make waste it makes a cheap repair darn expensive. Just ask my local garage shop.
