The mid-engine car was the most successful model of the car manufacturer based in Modena, Italy with Argentinean roots. It is the perfect combination of Italian design and American engine technology. The De Tomaso Pantera is the carmaker's most successful model and has been built over 7,000 times. The 5.7 liter V8 engine developed a powerful 480-hp and turned the runabout into a real street sports car. The 1:32 scale analog slot car is powered by an inline E200 motor. Each car is fitted with replaceable double contact brushes for maximum contact with the slot car track while downforce magnets make for quick cornering and great handling. Carrera cars are real head-turners thanks to high-quality tampo-printing over detailed molds designed to faithfully replicate the original car. Even the interior and the driver inside looks just as good as the exterior! This Carrera Evolution car in 1:32 scale will work on all Carrera Evolution slot car tracks and can be upgraded to a digital car in the future with the addition of a digital decoder.(sold separately)

The car looks to be intact and undamaged. Unfortunately it was shipped in a bag not a box. Typically I keep them on display in their case when not being used. Kind of a bummer although not a loss.

German Quality- Running this on 1:32 Strombecker. These have dual brushes and easy to remove magnets if you do not want to use the Magnatraction. Operating head lights and tail lights add to the fun! SCX does not have either of these functions. Carrera. Quality never goes out of style!
