The picture and the description says this is a UL rated contactor. What you will receive is a non UL rated contactor, that says (made in china), that has the same part number as what's described. I specifically looked for a UL rated contactor and that is not what I got in the mail.

I already replaced the relay on my AC and this is a backup part in case the one I have breaks down. I will save some money down the line by not getting a AC company involved. I watch a lot of videos and learned a thing or two on AC repair.

The contactor responds to call for AC by connecting the poles to send electricity to fan and compressor. Two poles cut both hot lines when there's no call for AC, is the most common type of contactors used by AC system. This contactor is well made and both poles tested as expected consistently. The contactors are pretty much universal as long as you can mount them to your outside unit and wire them correctly. This is one of the best priced and yet quality contactor, great value to bring AC back to service.

Good product. Installation was straightforward. Replaced a single pole with this double pole while replacing parts in my condenser that's ben there for over 18 years.

I have several Arduino projects that need to control high current line voltage loads (greater than 10 amps). I have settled on using 24 volt coil contactors with an intermediate 5 volt relay between to do the job. This contactor is fairly representative to what you will find at any HVAC supplier for a 2 pole contactor. It worked perfectly for me and is reliably switching 18 amps resistive, far below it's rating.
