I worked in a boarding and grooming facility throughout high school and college and I’m impressed with the quality of this nail grinder. It is a substantial weight that makes it easy to hold and navigate around your dog’s paws and nails. The two speeds allow you to go slower if you’re closer to the quick and faster if you’re not as close to the quick. The grinder is “sharp” and does a quick job of grinding the nails. It is quiet and doesn’t scare my Pug who usually hates having his nails done. I would recommend this to anyone looking to do their own dogs nails. A tip, especially for dogs with black nails, is to keep grinding in short motions until you see a black dot appear in the middle of the end of the nail. That’s how you know you are close to the quick and can stop grinding.

My dog didn't like clipping her nails so i thought I'd try this one. I had one of those similar but it was much bigger and gave it away as it was loud and none of my dogs would allow me to use it on them. This one here is small and very quiet. My dog is an 11lbs Chiweenie with small paws and thin nails, she gets that from her chi side. I used it on low to begin with as I am new to using this and really don't want to overdo it too fast and hurt my dog. So far it was easy and got enough off, she had long nails, to not make noise on the wooden floor, to give you an idea. I place my small dog on a table with a silicone matte to make sure she doesn't slip around as she does move a bit since its all new to her. I also use a 'cone' to keep her small face and nose away from the grinder. I found a con with fabric at the neck and plastic on top, very comfortable. I'd say less than 10 min for all the nails, but I rushed it through to keep her stress at the minimum till she's more comfortable with the process. For $22 it's great value for money. I am quite happy I bought it!

I really freaking love this!!! It's less likely to clip the quick. It's comfortable enough that I can use it from any angle. And I'm able to sit down while using it. So I keep it on my end table to use whenever it strikes me. My dogs don't mind it that much bc is really quiet. And they are quickly getting used to the grinding sensation. AND on top of shortening the nails you can shape them and get any rough edges off. I especially like this bc one of my dogs nails often Crack and chip from digging and old age. Overall great product. Works on super thick nails too! And it stays charged for a long time. I've had it over a week and haven't had to charge it yet.Update: I just tried it on my malamutes nails and it doesn't work nearly as good on hers as it did my pit. But that's not the products fault considering the vet has to use wire cutters to cut her overly hard nails.

The inbuilt LED light is also quite useful. Battery lasts long time.

While it is quiet, my dogs still don't like their feet touched, so can't use it on them. However, it is great on my acrylic nails to shorten them and shape them to how I like them before I go for an infill. The battery seems to last ages once it is charged. I can't fault it, even though I can't manage to use on my dogs. They likely need some further training to get them to tolerate anything being done to their feet.

This nail grinder is awesome because it is light weight; the handle of the grinder is comfortable (not too big for my hands) and easy to hold/grip. It is not overly noisy when on, just running but when the nail hits the grinder, the noise obviously gets louder. Combined with the noise and the nail being ground, your pet will of course have to adjust. It is also easy to use once you get the hang of it and your pet gets more comfortable with the nail grinder itself. I looked at the videos several times and read all instructions. The chargingprocess was easy and I was able to grind all nails in one sitting, less than 3 hours, the first time.Huey was initially fidgety but calmed down quickly with treats. The LED light is a nice feature but did not benefit me because Huey’s nails are all dark/black.On a side note, be careful if your dog has long hair on its ears like my shih tzu. My Huey tried to lick the grinder/his paws and his hair got caught in the grinder. This was completely my fault. So follow the instructions which say the hair on the dog’s paws need to be trimmed short because the hair can get caught!Bottom line: the nail grinder is a keeper. It is affordable and I had a 20% discount. Best thing is I can probably stop paying a groomer because I am able to grind those darn DEW CLAWS! Best purchase ever! Hopefully, it lasts!

Trimming dogs nails has been a necessary chore for the more-than-30-years I've had Schnauzers, but I've never developed a knack for doing it easily. My 4-year-old male has NEVER been happy about having his feet worked on, regardless of treats. The 1-1/2-year-old female cooperates if treats are available. The Casfuy nail grinder is one of the best options I've tried.1. Compared to previously used, Dremel grinders, the Casfuy Dog Nail Grinder with LED Light is significantly quieter and generates less noise/vibration while working on my dog's nails. As a result, they don't try to get away from it as much, a big plus because I'm spending less time coaxing them to come back to me.2. Although I usually deep-trim the hair in their pads monthly to remove/prevent a build-up of crud & odors, dense regrowth hides their nails. With scissor-type trimmers, I have to trim enough hair and have the dog in the right position to see what I'm doing, or I'll sometimes cut into the quick, drawing blood. The dog is then usually 'done' for the day, and I feel bad about it. Using the Casfuy I don't need to be as careful.3. When using nail clippers, even if I have the pet's nail in 'exactly the right position' to cut, I still can't see exactly how close I am to the quick. With this grinder, I can. Visibility with the 'guarded' Dremel was better, but still not good.4. Many people believe it’s impossible to cause pain with a grinding-type trimmer. Untrue, at least for me. I tried to be careful when trimming, but the abrasive tubes used with the Dremel were fairly coarse, allowing fast removal of nail substance, again sometimes invading the quick. Occasionally, I moved too slow, allowing heat to build up. Either way, unhappy dog. The diamond abrasive on the Casfuy is less coarse, offering more control over how fast material is removed.5. Battery life is adequate – I trimmed 8 paws without problem. Recharge time was about 3 hrs, but that wasn’t done from a fully depleted battery.6. A grinding guard (prevent nail material from flying into your eyes) isn’t provided. In my opinion, that’s an improvement to the Dremel because of less interference to my vision. I wouldn’t use one if available. I’m sure OSHA will be be unhappy with my opinion, but pfffssttt to government interference in too many aspects of my life. I do, however, support CV masking & distancing. In summary, the Casfuy requires less pre-trimming work (hair removal), a little less attention to avoid pain to the dog, offers more control and visibility to the job, requires less time because I have more confidence about what's happening, and finally, both the dogs and I are happier with the results - and the stypic powder goes back to the bathroom. The next step is to convince my wife. She does the grooming for both dogs, and like me, learned to distrust the Dremel grinder, reverting to scissor-type trimmers, which leave nails a little longer than we like.

I have successfully used this grinder for my greyhound, who is terrified of the clippers. She was already accustomed to having her nails filed and accepted the grinder without any problems. She seems to enjoy the attention. It only grinds a small amount at a time, so I do her nails little and often rather than try to do too much all at once. A good product.
