About this item

  • CATCH BASIN FILTER IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO KEEP THE WATER FLOWING: The Square Catch Basin Drain Filter blocks more particles from entering and potentially clogging your drain pipes than a drain grate alone
  • BLOCKS TREE DEBRIS FROM CLOGGING YOUR DRAINAGE SYSTEM: Works with the catch basin and drain grate, catches any and all debris that falls through the grate. Protects your drainage system by filtering leaves, needles, twigs, nuts, and seeds, while enabling stormwater to drain away
  • REMOVABLE FILTER DESIGN: The removable filter is easy to clean and maintain. When the cone gets filled with debris, just lift out the grate and the screen and dump the debris. The unique bypass feature allows water to continue to flow through the system, even when the filter is full
  • PREMIUM MATETIAL: Filter bag material is made of high-density polyethylene; filter frame is made of polypropylene treated and the screen is secured to the plastic frame by sturdy PP straps and silicone anti-slip cap to prevent breaks out from the pegs
  • EASY TO INSTALL: Just remove the grate, drop the screen into the catch basin box, and place the grate back in position on top of the screen frame, Very easy install and taking out to clean is a breeze

I got this catch basin drain filter for my yard, and it’s been a game-changer. It fits perfectly in my 12-inch drain and does an amazing job of keeping leaves and debris out, which means no more clogs. I really like that the filter is removable, making it super easy to clean and maintain. It’s sturdy and seems built to last, even with heavy rain. It’s definitely helped keep my garden and patio area looking neat. Highly recommend it for anyone dealing with drainage issues!

Made well and is easy to install. Be sure and measure your drain as this is for a 12 inch, which is larger than most. A good idea if your drain is near debris like leaves and dirt.

Our koi pond (existing when we purchased the house) was built with an open 3" drain in the bottom - That leads directly to the pump basket. We discovered this when one of our young koi took the trip of a lifetime to visit the pump (And somehow survived to tell the tale). We found a working solution, a 3" drain/gutter filter and a rock to hold it down, but knew it wasn't permanent. This will be, so much easier to work with and also easier to change/clean, keeping far more debris away from the pump/filter.

I really love this water catch net. I am living more off grid, and I attached this onto the bottom of a gutter that goes into a water catch basin. It gets a lot of the leaves and big debris from going into my water tank. I would even say some of the smaller items too.We have this on the top and then use a finer filter once we have it coming out of the spout. This has made my life a lot easier. Now I don't have to worry about the bigger chunks/leaves going into my water basin and clogging up the down spout. The one thing I really love about it is if can hold a bunch of debris before I had to clean it out. I had a big storm come through and it blew leaves and branches everywhere. When I came out the next morning the net was full, but it was still diverting the water through to my tank.I will be buying another one of these soon for my second catch basin.

I've been needing a few of these for a while. My catch basins allow too much crud in and it affects my pump. This thing solves those problems nicely, but then it also introduces maintenance into the equation. So, be prepared to regularly clean out the sock. Speaking of, the material the sock is made of is really stout feeling stuff. I'm confident that it'll last for quite a long time. I do sort of wish that the weave was a bit looser so that it doesn't clog quite as quickly, but better safe than sorry I guess.

We have a sump pump hose that drains into a catch basin and then just charges in the yard and this is absolutely perfect to add in to catch any thing that might flow into the catch basin where there is a gap from the sump pump discharge. It is easy to install and seems like it will hold up well over time.

I added on a catch basin to my gutters about 6 years ago. I wish I knew these existed back then because I would have added this net when I installed it. If you don’t you’ll end up with your buried pipe (that connects to your square basin box) -clogged up from all of the debris that drains down from your gutters like ;leaves, pieces of shingle, bugs, etc.. Having this netting will line the inside of your catch basin making it a lot easier for you to lift out thus emptying the debris from. If you don’t have one of these and your pipes get clogged up (because over time they will get clogged by debris,) trying to squirt out the junk that’s collected inside of your catch basin doesn’t even work to clean it out. If your buried pipe is clogged up when you try and clean your basin box out the water has nowhere to go since the pipe ground opening is clogged up. All of the water you squirt in the box while trying to clean it out will over flow from your catch basin. Making your foundation a watery mess along with the mess of having splattered all of the junk from inside the basin now onto the side of your house! You definitely want one of these.Another thing worth mentioning is that the quality of the plastic is much better than I thought it would be as it’s a thicker more pliable type of plastic rather than that hard plastic that tends to get brittle and break easily. It’s not that kind of a plastic. I feel the quality of this should last a good few years outside in all weather elements.
