The tub and shower in our guest bath has needed to be recaulked for some time and when I saw this tape I thought it might work to tick off one item on my "to do" list. The tape is strong and flexible vinyl and I appreciate the fact that it has a crease in the middle to help apply it straight. It adheres to the surface of the tile by use of an adhesive on the back of the tape but the adhesive doesn't extend fully to the tape edges. There's the tiniest 1/16 of an inch along the edge that doesn't stick and it's this tiny bit of an opening in the caulk that is the problem. If using this to add a decorative edge in an area that might get wet it might not be an issue but if using it in a wet area like a shower, then it could be a very big issue because a watertight seal is required. The tape is curved/rounded at the edges to help prevent water entry but it still isn't watertight, particularly over uneven surfaces like tile and grout. It works well enough to use on a temporary basis (which is what I'm now doing) but it's not a permanent solution for me.

This caulk tape was just the thing I needed to make our old toilet look better. There is a small gap where the toilet meets the tile floor, and gunk builds up in there quickly. I hate scrubbing it, but I hate looking at it more.The caulk comes on a roll and is easy to maneuver. The adhesive is really strong. I don't know how long this will last, but certainly a few years at least. I also appreciate the crease line down the middle of the tape; It was easy to apply evenly and easy to conform of the toilet base.My toilet looks new again. No more crusty bits at the base! And it only took 10 minutes.

It didn’t do what the picture showed it would I didnt even get a chance to use it because it wont stick the adhesive was awful
