Awesome tone, remarkable clarity. I needed to upgrade my cab to a 100 watt speaker to use with a Boss Katana MK2 head. This was an outstanding choice and a very easy installation. I anticipate it will get even better after break-in. First-rate quality.

This is a great speaker with my Orange Super Crush 100 head. I don't really play hard rock/metal and it suits my style really well; plenty of low end and nice highs. It's a bit more than I wanted to pay but I in no way regret it

I put this in my Fender Deluxe Reverb II, Rivera direct wiring amp. What an instant difference. Crisp, clean, smooth sound. Plenty of punch, low end, and not brittle upper. I went through 6 different well-known speakers, trying to find that elusive sound that was in my head. This speaker has everything I was looking for. It added quite a bit of extra weight, but it is well worth it. I went with the 100 watt version, even though my amp is only rated at 22 watt. It is a higher efficiency speaker, meaning less in equals more out. Plus, I'll never overdrive it, even with lots of distortion.

I replaced the speaker in my Egnater 1X12 cab that goes my Rebel 30 head. The existing stock speaker got a little farty and flabby on the low end when starting pushing the gain and volume. Had good all around distortion I wanted more tight low end and venture more into the metal area, sound wise. This speaker did just that -- right away, a richer creamer distortion and great low end. But let me be clear here, it is great for all styles - even blues sounds are better; it also has very nice articulated highs. Just simply superior speaker, very happy. I got 8 ohm version so that I can also run it as and extension to my Hot Rod Deluxe that a V 30 speaker in it. It rounds the sound out nicely.

This is a great speaker. It's thick and warm, and it hits like a truck. I'm using it with an all tube Randall Diablo. If you play any type of heavy rock or metal these are amazing. I've never heard such tight, thick bottom end on a speaker before. I can't imagine what you would have to do get any kind of break up or flubbing farting sounding speaker noises with this thing.

I bought this speaker as a replacement for the stock speaker in my Peavey 6505+ 112 combo. I was torn between this and the V30. I ended up going with this speaker because I'm more of a rhythm player and don't really have the need to cut through a mix. I'm really happy I made the choice I did.. This speaker is very Hi-Fi and sounds great with heavy, distorted playing. The low end is very ballsy, yet there's a certain definition to the sound that wasn't there at all on the stock speaker. The reason I gave this speaker 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price. There's no reason Celestion should be charging $140 a pop for a product made in China. Even with that being said, I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. If you're torn between this and a V30 I would really base it off of your style of playing. If you're a lead player and need to cut in the mix, go for the V30. The upper-mid spike in those is sure to please. However, if you want some serious heft to your sound while maintaining clarity, these speakers are winners. Leads sound great on these too, it just doesn't cut as much as a V30.

I needed a replacement for a 50 watt combo amp. Someone refereed me to Amazon to pick up a celestion... It was a great idea. I got it for $25 cheaper than anywhere locally. Ive tried it in 3 different amps since i got it.An 80s red knob Fender Eighty-Five 112 combo--- Sounded good, but it was a little too bassy for clean, but when it was distorted it sounded fantastic.2 (an 83 and 84) Music Man RD50 112s- Sounded great, amazing bass for clean, and extreme clarity on the distorted channel.Just make sure to do research before you buy a speaker for your amp, not all speakers are compatible with all amps.
