Very sturdy wire brush perfectly sized for your drill. I was expecting something flimsy but this beat expectations. Removes rust nicely

Just FYI the fine has wire dia of .008" while the coarse wire dia is .0118". Max RPM rotation is 4,500. I found coarse more appropriate for removing rust and old paint from steel wheels than fine. Fine is more like for aluminum or some lighter type of a job.

I just received this drill cup today. I was so pleased with how well it worked to remove rust on my outdoor grill. It took the rust right off the screws! I am repainting my grill with a rust proof coating, as the inside is fine, but the outside has been in the elements for a long time.I would definitely recommend you using this product! I used my Dewalt drill and it handled fine. It does run the battery down more quickly than a regular bit, but it is working a lot harder!

I use this brush on the fill neck of antique car radiators I build. Although the brush might be a little coarse for use on brass, it dose work well. I'll try a "softer " brush next purchase. Haven't used it very much to tell how it will hold up.

So far it seems like a well made brush. It quickly and easily removed both rust and paint off of a piece of steel sheet metal that I'm working on. Most important thing to notice about this brush is that it's a COARSE brush. It quickly removes surface material and gets down to bare metal and it will leave brush strokes (i.e. scratches) on softer metals. That's good if you want that brushed steel look or if you plan to paint or whatever, but just keep in mind that it removes a lot of material and it leaves a scratched surface. Might be a but too easy to wear a hole through a thin piece if you're not careful. Overall, a good brush for quickly removing surface debris.

It's a wire brush, you brush things with it, not drive in 4" deck screws... There's no need for the grip a hex drive offers. Every chuck on every drill can grip a round shaft drive wire brush tight enough to serve it's cleaning purpose. So why did they have to make this a hex drive? I still like this product and really enjoy the cleaning properties of it.Being a mechanic you can't live without a die grinder and a wire brush. Everything from battery terminals to welding areas to cleaning threads, it's a miracle tool. But It frustrates me having to constantly smooth out the shaft with my angle grinder before I can use it in my die grinder. If you're using a drill, get a die grinder, drills are too slow. Even at fast speeds it seems to hold it's bristles much better than similar wire brushes I purchased from Home Depot. This one lasts probably twice as long. Whenever I'd use Home Depot wire brushes there would be a 1000 little needles on the ground waiting to embed themselves in your back every time you crawl beneath your car, but with this one I rarely get that problem.
