The Obey40 is a decent entry level controller, it’s not loaded with a ton of features for complex displays, (use a software based system for more complex shows), but for starting off in the world of DMX lighting, it’s a good start.

Very efficient and good priced item. The plastic sliders seem fragile at first but this is just an impression. They are precise

I purchased this about 1 1/2 years ago, but it died within the first few months. Over a year later (I had a backup controller) I finally contacted Chauvet and they sent me a replacement - free of charge! We've been using it a every week for the last couple months now and it works flawlessly every time! It's easy enough to use that even when I'm not around, people can figure out how it works. There's still a ton of features I haven't tried out yet, but certainly need to!

Prodotto che rispetta in pieno ciò che promette, rapporto qualità prezzo buono, costruzione di buona qualità anche se ci sarebbe da migliorare specie sulla tipologia dei cursori.Consiglio il suo acquisto.

I needed something to run my (Eyourlife Stage Lights 8pcs 54x3W LED PAR Lights). I had to play around with it for a few days but eventually got the hang of it. Only wish that the Blackout button could be set using the fade to black out gradually. no biggy though. Programs and also can set each light on the fly. The fader on the left can bring up or down any setting of color already set for each light. Using it to control our church stage lighting. The first one I ordered came without the power supply. I thought about buying one for $10 but returned it instead and second unit came with the power brick.

This lighting desk is great! It is so simple to use the 'Tap Sync' is a really good way of changing the lights with the music. It has 16 channels and can host big lights that can move. It can have 12 fixtures connected up to it at once and can all be controlled separately. This lighting desk was defiantly worth the money that I paid for it. It has a small display that can tell you what is going on at that time can hold up to 6 chases. This lighting desk is defiantly brilliant and works great with the lights I do have. It can also be connected to a fog and a strobe light. Though it recommends that you use a Chauvet one. Brilliant purchase!

I like this unit and it has plenty of features. I have it receiving MIDI timecode from Traktor and/or Ableton and it works perfectly. I have a half dozen fixture types and a pair of each type, and setting the similar fixtures on the same DMX channel means that I can have a dozen different fixture types with multiple units per type all strung together. I have also not needed DMX terminator yet but expect if I grow this setup much further I will need to all one.The documentation is pretty bare and obviously translated to English, but there are a number of helpful tutorials on YouTube to get you started. The only real complaint I have with the unit is that it takes up 3U of rack space, but the connections on the back are set at a 45 degree angle on top. While it is slightly recessed, this means that when you plug in a MIDI cable and/or a DMX cable it takes up almost another full unit of rack space. I would have preferred they make the faceplate 4U or set the connectors through the circuit board straight through the back to save space. Otherwise I have no complaints and it works great, and has a nice feature set for the price.

I just started upgrading some of my lighting for my DJ gear and received this for Christmas. I have played with this unit for about 3 days straight now and love all of the functionalities and total control that it gives you. This is an awesome board and is very easy to figure out. The instruction manual was ok and gave you the basics of the board but there are a few videos on the Internet that were a ton of help. I would highly recommend this board to anyone who is interested in lighting control.

this unit was ok but it is rather large and not ideal for a mobile solution. I ended up trying a few different controllers and ultimately ended up with the Lumidesk software which I am very happy with.

I bought three LED DMX Par 64 Cans and a DMX Dimmer for use in my music room. This allowed me plenty of channels to hook up all the lights (each Can on its own DMX channels) and create a bunch of scenes and a bunch of chases. It has a nice auto chase option as well as musical. I play more rock music so when set to music it changes rather rapidly... (too rapidly for my taste... it would be nice if you could tweak the changing during music mode regarding whether it should change scene on every musical change it notices... every other... every fourth, etc... so you could set the sensitivity... otherwise with a fast song it tends to be more of a strobe changing effect. This is minor though and I expected it to be somewhat of an issue that would make the sound activated mode unrealistic. It is a very durable unit and well worth the price I am more than happy with it. I was able to hook up all my DMX lights and still have plenty of room to grow in the future. Obviously, to run a professional setup for a band with more lights and syncronization requirements this would not be the right thing. But for the home person... the DJ... or the small club or small club band, this is plenty powerful enough for the task at hand!
