If your RV is overflowing your tank when hooked to city water, its internal check valve has gone bad. Instead of replacing the RV water pump buy this & put it in the water line going to the RV pump & save yourself the $50-120 cost of a new water pump. We did & it fixed the problem. The RV pump works if the city water isn’t connected & now it doesn’t overflow the tank when it is connected.

This is an amazing check valve if your application has the hose in a perfect 90 degree straight up and down location. If it's laying flat or at any other position this valve will NOT work at all. The hose can't be laying down flat on the ground. It's great pecause there is absolutely zero back pressure like other valves. It also won't rust as there's no metal. I use it for both 3/8" & 1/2" ID tubing. Use a clamp or at least 2 zip ties though. The price is also way too high for a check valve. It's more than a 20 pack of regular 3/8 check valves. If you have deep pockets and a vertical hose then this is the clamp for you.

I needed a check valve (CV) for a HVAC condensate pump that uses 3/8" ID vinyl drain hose. I use the SimpleAir Clean Flow Tabs for HVAC Drain Line Treatment. This CV uses a Teflon ball and Viton O-ring which will hold up to exposure to the Clean Flow Tabs. Other CV's I looked at used NBR and EPDM rubber which does not. This CV does not have a spring so cracking pressure is not an issue. The CV is mounted vertically and is working good since the 20th March 2021.The description for this CV is horrible. It begins with a 1/2" size which has nothing to do with this CV. Then it says, "Barbed Plastic,Size(OD)15/32"" which is mixed words that should be placed elsewhere and the size is incorrect. I measured the OD on each end: INLET: 0.437"; OUTLET: 0.431"; BARB: 0.471". 15/32" is 0.469". This fraction is close to the barb size yet not the diameter of each OD of the CV.Concerning photos: The best two photos are the 2nd showing the PTFE ball and Viton O-ring. The 5th photo has a scale indicating the length of the CV. The 7th photo of the orange plastic veneer caliper is silly because it shows nothing as it's not indicating a dimension on the CV. If a useful dimension needs to be shown then use a digital caliper measuring the barb. A photo labelling the CV with dimensions would be ideal. Then delete photos 5 and 7.The last of the description is about suggested applications. These suggestions should located in the bullet items to reduce clutter in the description.

I ordered this one as a spare for my RV. The first was used when the check valve in the water pump failed and the city water was back filling the fresh water tanks. It was a quick / cheap way to fix a problem and has now worked for two years.

The little ball in the valve gets stuck in the open position. When pump is turned off, all the water backflows into the pond again--defeating the purpose of the check valve. I've tried it in both vertical and horizontal positions. I need to see if it's too late to return this piece of junk.

Good quality, works as described. I’m happy I paid 2 dollars more for a good product rather than a peice from over seas that fails to solve my water flow problems just to save a buck! Pics were very informative for my application and details of product helpful! Great product highly recommended!

Works as intended would give 5 stars but price was a little high in my opinion. I use this in a ebb n gro system on drain line. It stops water pump from constantly kicking on and off when draining last little bit of water out of controller bucket good quality built but 20 bucks kinda steep

Was looking for the best quality inline check valve for my fish tank. After searching through a bunch of check valves on amazon I came across this one, the build look high quality so I decided to give it a chance. I am glad I did. Installation is very easy, pushed into the hose and I secured it with 2 clamps. Water flow runs great with no back pressure unlike a cheap spring valve I previously tried. Tested the product by unplugging my pump and it stopped the water from back flowing from my larger tank. Great product, highly recommend.
