Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) is a high-speed data storage interface for high throughput and fast data access. Primarily for data storage: the SAS interface is backward compatible with SATA.
This allows users to combine several more expensive low-capacity SAS hard drives with cheaper, high-capacity SATA drives for lower-speed applications and for applications that require faster data access and higher reliability.
Positive and passive locking ensures that the plug stays connected to the socket.
All internal Mini-SAS assemblies can support Generation I and II SAS / SATA bandwidths.

I can't say with 100% certainty that these cables are defective. But I had no luck detecting any drives plugged into the SAS controller.I tried new cables from a different brand without changing anything else in the PC and it worked without an issue.I may have just been unlucky but that was my experience with testing and using them.

Funciona perfectamente. Tiene la longitud adecuada para una torre MiniATX o MicroATX. Los clips de sujección enganchan bien el disco duro y el cable no se sale. Las velocidades de transferencia son las que se anuncian.
