This cherry putter was great to work with. I had 5 pounds of cherries and it made for quick work. Saved me tons of time! Easy to clean too!

Love no longer needing to pit individual cherries for my 15 month old's snack times! This makes it quick and easy to do. Easy to clean and seems to be good quality product

I decided to write this after doing 20lbs bing cherries. I found that there was always at least 2 or 3 out of 6 that didn't remove the pit. I had to use a knife to do those cherries manually. Very time consuming. The plungers also are hard on the cherries, crushing the remaining meat of the cherries. It seems the plungers are too blunt to do a clean removal.

I picked a large bag of cherries and got this tool. I placed in the cherries, firmly punched down the top piece, and took them out of the bottom area. I do 6 at a time and count to make sure I got all 6 pits, then but the done ones in another bowl, and punch again. I did it several times to put them later in my daily smoothies. After I first did it 2 or 3 times, I got the hang of it and quickly punched out about 75 cherries. Sturdy product, just rinse to clean up quickly. I'm buying another to give the couple who have the big 60 foot tall cherry tree. They had never seen such a device, and see its usefulness. I'd recommend it highly.

I've been using this a couple weeks now and just finished off a bag of cherries so I thought it was time to come write my review.Overall, I'm pretty happy with this little gadget. You can remove the pits from multiple cherries at one time and it contains the mess while you're doing it.But be aware.. sometimes it misses. When I first got it, it was getting about 50% of the pits and it seemed like a waste of time lining them all up in the little holes, but once I got used to the motion of the device it got better and now it's only missing about 1 in 6. I started counting the pits in the bottom to ensure I had them all but realized that occasionally what I thought was a pit was a chunk of the cherry 'flesh' and the pit was still in the fruit.I kinda wish the instructions were a bit clearer and maybe gave some insight on whether it's best to put the stem end up, down or to the side... which orientation works best to remove the pits, in other words. But you're pretty much on your own.Is it a foolproof way to remove pits from cherries? Not exactly.Would I buy it again? Yes.

The holes aren't big enough for the seed from a sweet cherry, so it is only useful for pie cherries or really small sweets.

Honestly not that great. Some of the pits didn't come out which is problematic when my kids are eating cherries. It's easy to clean but does not come fully apart. This isn't a deal breaker for me though. Honestly, I'll probably just splurge on the name brand one I had to leave behind.
