This is a good, utilitarian cleaver. It is sturdy enough to chop and sharp enough to finely slice. The handle is artificial and dishwasher safe. Similar to the tools a restaurant uses. A tool designed to suffer abuse and still provide good service. If you're looking for a cleaver that works even after you ignore it, give this tool a chance.

Good blade. Balanced well. Sets in the palm nicely.

This cleaver is bigger than I expected. In my mind, I was picturing something more like a Japanese Nakiri knife. In a way, it’s similar, but with a larger surface.Out of the box, the knife didn’t look particularly sharp, but when I used it to chop vegetables, it felt sharp enough. I was able to chop quickly and easily. I also appreciated the larger surface, which made it convenient to scoop up the chopped vegetables. Overall, it’s a decent cleaver, though I do wish I could sharpen it a bit more.

This is not a bad cleaver but the blade is very thin. It's fine for chopping vegetables and fruits but meats and bones may present a challenge. The handle is a little narrow for me.

This is my favorite knife now. It's super versatile, easy to maneuver and not too heavy. If you've ever wanted to try one of these lightweight cleavers, do it. You won't be sorry.

It’s a nice blade, but the handle feels a little cheap. The best part is the actual sharpened area. It’s really nice and it holds.

Almost 30 years ago while in China on business I picked up a Chinese cleaver in a street side market. A little over 20 years ago I married a Chinese woman! She has used the knife until the handle has almost fallen apart. When I saw this one with a solid handle and the same type of blade configuration I snatched it up!!She says it is very sharp and a little lighter than the old one which has been retired to the utility drawer with honors!

...the handle is a tad uncomfortable, and there isn't any heft to it, so more pressure has to be used when chopping. the slight curve is good for pivot chopping herbs, but the blade came dull. after sharpening it, it worked ok, but this is kind of a letdown.
