It does great in holding the tree up. It is very sturdy very easy to assemble and fit standard size Christmas trees.

So this is supposed to be for standard artificial trees, which I have, but the hole is way too large. The tree has a good half an inch on all sides of empty space and the screws meant to help stabilize it don't do much to help keep the tree stable. My five foot tree is so wobbly, I had to use my rice packs to lay over the legs to keep it from toppling over, and the stand itself feels very lightweight. I'm using it because I haven't found another replacement, but I worry about putting my ornaments up on it in case it falls.

This basic Christmas tree stand is suitable for artificial trees ranging from 4' - 6'. You get three screws and the stand. Super simple assembly, just open it up, pop tree in and tighten screws. Seems like it is designed to hold lightweight trees. I would not use it for a heavy tree at all. Pretty sure it would tip over. it's ok, but no trophy winners here - basic.
