This is my 2nd backrest and the product is very durable. the back plate is strong, seat back is thick and comfortable. I didn't want to give a 4 * review for this one issue because everyone should have this and that's "thread lock gel!" get at any hardware store (Lowes, Home Depot, Ace etc...) because of the vibration of the bike, I usually put thread lock on all accessories threads to secure them in place better to withstand the vibration. I did not do this when I 1st bought this seat back and luckily I didn't have a passenger on at the time when it flew off on the frwy. Thread lock is great to have around the house, for barstools, tables, chairs autos, mowers. anyway... enjoy!
