I thought it was 1/4” shank looking at the bit In the picture compared to the half inch bearing, when it came in it was a 1/2” shank. Now I can’t use it with my battery router and have to lug around the bigger one with the vacuum. Still does it’s job but not the one I intended on getting

I only received the slot cutter. There was no arbor or bearing included.

As other reviewers have mentioned, make sure you tighten the screw at the end. Cuts clean and smooth.

Very affordable and worked flawlessly for routering a channel to hold some thin corrugated sheet metal inside of a door.

A good cutter. Cuts slots that biscuits fit. As already stated by others, need to tighten allen screw before using, mine needed tightening. It cut nice slots right up till it hit a couple nails that broke the carbide teeth. I used this to join oak flooring ends to existing oak flooring, (old flooring was cut off already and I needed a way to join the ends). I replaced it with the same.

Bit seems great. Was expecting 1/4" shank though.

This bit was great for the first 20 minutes of use, then the screw that holds the cutter on broke. And this was cutting poplar. First and last CMT bit.

Not a Whiteside but then only Whiteside is. Cuts a clean slot for biscuits and what more do you really need?

There is no description about diameter of shank. The photo show ¼ shank so I ordered it. I need it for small router for tight spaces. It was ½ ". I keep it for the price $9 (open box).

Nifty little thing that does what it is supposed to do - cut 5/32" slots. If you have a router, get this bit and you don't need to buy a biscuit joiner (most commercially available biscuits need a 5/32 slot).
