This was a perfect replacement for the ones that came originally with the pergolas. I choose not to use the zip ties that were included because I needed to adjust the cover based on the level of the sun. The sleeve for the poles were a little bit too slim to fit the poles that came with the pergola so I just used the poles that came with the sun screen and anchored them with small bungee cords. The color fits nicely with the color of the pergola. I wanted something that blended, not stand out. The quality of the material is high, as well as the sewn seams. Happy that this is a breathable material and will allow water to flow freely, otherwise the weight could possibly damage the pergola. Thrilled with the sun shade. Highly recommend.

The presented picture of this canopy shade is a serious misrepresentation. I wish the product looked the same as well. It's true that the material is permeable. Yet it has been strangely curvy at the edges, and wrinkled all over so badly. I thought at least the wrinkles will go away under the extremely hot sun of this summer or under the rain. But during several weeks that it has been hanging on my pergola, nothing has changed. It looks badly wrinkled and the edges are seriously wavy. The whole thing is one big ugly thing in my backyard.The weight bars that are advertised as steel bars are so thin and lightweight that they hardly can hold each other when pieces are screwed together, let alone applying any pull on the material.

We got our pergola in 2021 and have enjoyed it the past few summers. The cover that came with it is great at shading the sun overhead but doesn’t extend down the sides very much. I decided to invest in this one to add to our setup and it’s perfect, just what I was wanting to keep the sun’s rays at bay. We have it extended further down on one side as it gets blasted with the late afternoon heat/sun. We could already feel a difference while we were installing and getting it tied down. We used some two-sided hooks (also purchased from Amazon) that slipped through some of the holes on either side of the shade to attach it to the pergola. Really like this, it’s well-made and I’m hoping it will last for several years to come.

I purchased a replacement shade for my metal pergola. I like the shade material from Colourtree, with a San Diego, CA address. It's made of heavy weave of 260gcm polyester with a 95% sun light reduction. It's the only shade company I could find that has a "weighted" metal rod (at both ends of the shade) that included a metal eyelet end caps that are threaded. Many companies had metal "weighted" rods but with plastic end caps. The rods don't come "weighted", you have to fill the hollow rods with sand.I live in Phoenix where you have to buy the best quality that will hold up to our summer heat. I gave it 4 stars because the size they advertised (16' L x 8' W) came up about 6" short on length and ~5" short on width. I could not find any company that made this quality of materials in the dimensions I needed. They were either too long or too wide or too short. Also, it doesn't come with any bungees or zip ties, either. I had to purchase bungees (biege) separately on Amazon in lengths of 6" & 9" to attach the shade to the pergola frame. In my experience, the cord on the bungees will only last about a year so I ordered plenty of extras.I wanted to purchase additional shades from Colourtree. However, they emailed me that they "temporarily" are unable to get the "weighted" rods, which is a must for me.

I purchased this for my carport. I bought a 7x28. I needed privacy from my neighbors. This provides that, along with letting air thru. I love the bars on the side to keep it straight and tight.This is a outstanding product. I spent a long time looking for one with greater than 80% sun blockage. This one is 95% and it gives me all the privacy I needed with a beautiful well made cover. This comes well packaged with any item you may need to attach it with. I cannot be any happier with this Sun Shade privacy screen!

I just got this a week ago to replace the one that had been up for years and was shredding. It was wrinkled when it got here (I expected that from the reviews & how could they ship it otherwise?). I have had it laid over a fence for the last few days and it is gradually releasing the wrinkles. It is 8x16 so WAAAYYY too big to lay out anywhere except over the fence and I didn't want to fight the wrinkles or have to pull it tight & put too much tension on the grommets. So far I am impressed by the fabric & the poles. I did immediately ordered some 36" x 7/16" wooden dowels to go inside them. (old trick my late father taught me - thank you Daddy) This adds a bit more weight to the poles & tensile strength to keep them from bending in the future. I cut 2 of the 6 down to 2' so I have the right length since the poles are 8' each. I am gonna put it up this weekend so I will report back with more after that... :-)
