This is a quality after market reproduction of the Comet made TAV2 Torque converter kit. Designed to be used on go-karts, mini-bikes and wake wrenches with engine sizes 2hp to 8hp. This is a must on live axle go-karts especially those with rear tires larger than 16" tall. A centrifugal clutch will not pull or hold up to these demands. For your convenience this kit comes with both sprockets, a #35 chain 12 tooth sprocket and the #41/40/420 chain with the #10 tooth sprocket.

This kit works well. I changed the long converter springs to lower the engagement rpm and adjusted the idler pulley spring setting for higher speed.

Somehow I managed to lose speed on the top end as compared to my stock clutch setup which was unusual. Did a quick governor delete and now the bike cruises at a fairly happy 23mph. I'll need to take some time playing with weights and springs to really dial it in; stock engagement at 2300 rpm with engine speed limited to 3600 rpm with the governor functional makes for a fairly narrow window of cruising speeds.Overall I am very happy with the fit and finish. It engages solidly and has certainly improved acceleration off the line.

The shaft for the rear pulley is too large to fit through the pulley or bearing in the back plate
