The Parrot Head is placed after the condenser outlet, allowing the distillate to flow through on its way to the collection container. It's handy because the parrot will hold your hydrometer, so you can take real-time readings of the alcohol percentage during the distillation process without having to transfer to a hydrometer jar. Don’t place Parrot under the outlet immediately at the start of distillation wait until it starts dripping into your collection chamber. If you need to discard the first 150ml (as per instructions) then you can.Parrot Heads are handmade.

took 4 days longer to ship than was estimated and then when it did show it it has 2 joints that leak. glad i checked it and glad know how to braze. so i hit it with a torch and some solder but others who dont have the tools or know how may want to look elsewhere. i bought it so i didnt have to run to town to buy parts, convenience, and ended up wishing idve just dealt with the people at the store in town.

This Parrot is Beautiful and functional for the price. I think it is under priced for the quality and I very rarely say things like this. So great all the way around

Wasn’t soldered completely at the foot leaked my end product all over the ground, would have sent it back but figured I could do a much better job myself and no telling if the replacement would have been any better. Would not recommend.

Not made from copper, uses another metal which is poorly electro plated. You can see the true metal’s color where the plating has already worn off.
