This matcha set is gorgeous. It is a fully stocked set with all the necessary utensils and pieces needed for a full matcha preparation and ritual experience.. The items appear to be are made of quality materials, have a good weight and are visually appealing. I like that the strainer is made of stainless steel, and really all of the items in the set appear to be made from healthy materials, no plastics or thin weighted pieces. This makes for a nice matcha ritual and experience. It was packaged beautifully and all in all, a superior experience. I highly recommend this matcha set.

Although super popular now in drink and coffee shops in the U.S., matcha, or green tea powder, has been used for tea ceremonies for centuries, perhaps closer to a millennia, and originated in China but perfected in Japan. The popularity of this deceivingly simple, yet artfully complex, drink has afficionados seeking the best tools to make the best possible cup of matcha tea, similar to espresso or coffee afficionados. Fortunately, unlike espresso, making matcha requires only three things: matcha powder, hot water, and a matcha kit. Although you can get by without the kit, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't get one, plus it's just more fun to do things the traditional way. You'll find plenty of tutorials on perfecting your technique on the 'net, so I'll just comment on this particular set. First, the kit arrives in an attractive box with lettering and a photo on the top, suitable for gift wrapping. Opening up the box reveals a basic instruction card, and then the kit nicely and safely packaged in foam. The kit itself contains: one bamboo whisk (chasen), one stainless steel strainer/sifter (chakoshi), one ceramic bowl (chawan), and bamboo spoon (chashuku). It does not include a whisk holder but that's really not necessary. All the elements appear to be well made and the bowl is really attractive in a speckled off-white color with brown rim, it feels sturdy and should hold up to vigorous matcha whipping with no problems.Lastly, the kit itself is made in China, in case that matters. Personally I don't think it matters, as the price to quality (bang for the buck) is excellent.

I only recently started getting into Matcha, mainly because I could no longer justify the cost of my usual store-bought iced coffee. So, I turned to my Dream Mood Matcha stash and a sweetened matcha powder by Rishi. However, I quickly ran into a few problems:1. My matcha kept clumping.2. No matter how much I stirred, I couldn’t get rid of the lumps.3. The whisk I was using just wasn’t cutting it.That’s when I jumped at the chance to try this Matcha kit—and I was completely blown away by both the quality and quantity of items included! What’s Inside & Why It’s Worth It- Matcha Bowl (Chawan) – It’s generously sized, giving you enough space to sift your matcha and then add frothy milk or hot water. Plus, since it’sceramic, it retains heat beautifully.- Chasen (Bamboo Whisk) – This was a lifesaver for my arthritis-prone hands! It’s sturdy yet comfortable to hold, making it easy to use the traditional "W" or “zig-zag” (Z) method to create a smooth, lump-free Matcha. Thanks to the fine bamboo prongs, I no longer have to scrape the bottom of the bowl to break up clumps.- Matcha Spoon (Chashaku) – Perfectly designed for measuring teaspoon-sized portions of matcha. It’s long, well-balanced, and incredibly sturdy.- Stainless Steel Sifter – This was the real game-changer! Even my Rishi Matcha, which tends to clump, became silky smooth after sifting. I wasn’t sure if I’d actually use this piece, but now I can’t imagine making Matcha without it.Final ThoughtsThanks to this kit, I can now enjoy my usual two servings of Matcha in a properly sized bowl—without any frustrating clumps. I was initially sceptical about drinking straight from the chawan, but it actually makes the experience even better. Plus, whisking Matcha together has become a fun little ritual to do with my partner! If you’re looking for an authentic Matcha experience without the hassle of clumps, this kit is absolutely worth it.

I'm just getting into Matcha. This set is good for my needs. It comes with everything that you need to fix up ceremonial Matcha. I'm mostly making Matcha lattes. The bowel is the right size for the amount of water needed. The sifter fits nicely above the bowl. The spoon effectively pushes the match through the sifter. The whisk does its job mixing the matcha and fits right on its whisk holder. It comes with a nice card that tells you what you need to do. In those instructions, the amount of matcha to use was far more than the instructions on my packet of matcha. I followed the instructions on the matcha. Overall, this is a nice purchase for a fair price.

I absolutely loved my Cowcowcow Matcha Whisk Set! It truly has everything you need to make the perfect matcha (minus the tea). The set is beautifully designed, and the craftsmanship is evident in every piece. It looks elegant, and I feel like it adds a touch of luxury to my matcha ritual. The only constructive criticism I would offer is that the set feels a bit on the lightweight side. While it’s still functional and lovely to use, I personally would have preferred something a bit more heavy-duty for a sturdier feel. That said, it's still a fantastic set overall.Highly recommend for anyone looking to enhance their matcha experience!

Good set for beginning matcha! I had to take a point off because my order was missing the matcha spoon.
