I looked and chose some of these as an alternative to 5.11 taclite shirts. With those I normally wear a XL. These are much lighter and I would expect cooler in hot weather. Though I found the XL to tight in the chest and shoulders. Switched to the XXL and found chest and shoulders to be perfect. Now the torso is a little large, but I can live with that. Even the 5.11 shirts are usually too big in the torso as well. Nevertheless if you are a 5.11 customer, order one size larger. The color and construction seems a little less quality than 5.11 too. But at half the price, I plan to pick up a few more of my favored colors. Good alternative considering price.

It's a really nice shirt, I love it. The only thing that I don't really care for is the additional pen holder loops - above the left pocket - I'd prefer it if they went into the pocket.I don't care for the way it looks as is, with a pen.Whatever though, that's not even really a little problem. The rest of its pockets and loops etc are nice!

FINAL REVIEW: Overview - I'm 6' and 172LB. I bought the Medium (based on their sizing example) and it felt a bit too roomy. So I ordered the small. The small was a bit too tight (I feel like goldilocks here). But after washing and drying the Medium, it seems to fit a little better...slightly less roomy than before but still a bit more than I like. But it works.I should also mention the material is a bit... durable, to put it positively. Thick, if you're looking for something lightweight. It's not quite the thin "quick dry" material that other shirts offer but it's a very good shirt for what it is. I wore it out on a "cool in the morning, hot in the afternoon, cold in the evening" day and I was comfortable the whole time. So I'm happy with it in general; but I'm still on the hunt for a perfect (slightly more lightweight) hiking shirt that I can also wear out to dinner or church. This one ends up being just a bit roomy and heavy for me to fill up my wardrobe with.---------EDIT REVIEW: Initially I went with the Medium which is fitting a little bit roomy. I (then) purchased the small and it's fitting a little tight. Neither is *awful* but also neither feels "just right".I will go ahead and wash/dry the Medium and see if the roominess shrinks down. The small fits well if I'm not moving/stretching around. But pulling my arms back the shirt really does pull. Will return back here to report if Medium shrunk a little.---------(original review)I am 6' 172 LB and figured small would probably fit best. Instead of going with my gut, I searched their website for sizing information and I found in their description on the website "(EX: Size "Medium" 5'9"165 lbs.)" I thought I *must* purchase at least a medium... I am larger than what they consider medium to be!Alas, I'm driving to the UPS store to return it, it hangs rather large on me; I have purchased the small and hope that it will fit better.

I have three of the CQR Commander shirts now and as someone who's picky about shirts, I'm pleased. It's lighter than the comparable Propper. It launders well. I don't think an iron would be necessary but I like starch. They do look fine without an iron though. The tail is long enough to stay tucked. They feel durable. At 6' 2" and 225 the XL is a good fit.

Comfortable and well made, nice for the price. Much better design and quality than a generic shirt of this type. The hem could be a lot longer for secure tucking in. Product description is full of detail errors. There is not a button down collar. There is not a rod holder loop (there are glasses slots that go inside the shirt, not useful for rod holder). There are not adjustable sleeve keepers. Not dealbreakers for me, because I like the shirt overall, but all feature expectations were not met.

This particular shirt is quite thin—perfect for our climate in the summer. I chose white and it’s so bright it looks expensive for some reason. It’s a bit transparent, but with the front pockets it’s fine without an undershirt. Not that my husband ever wears one. I love how smart this shirt looks in the white. It’s pretty much spot on size (I bought an XL) , generous but not overly. I usually hang dry, dryers aren’t so good for long term health of these man made fibers.
