Really happy with the quality of these posts for the price. Significantly cheaper than traditional aluminum ballusters especially if you are building a large deck. Check with your inspector if they are allowed by code in your area.

Product not provided with base plate as pictured and the base of the post is rectangular, but square. This would be far less supportive, especially on stairs.

Great way to modernize your old deck or for new construction as well. The packaging wasn't great, but it arrived without any damage to the contents. Installation needs to be done properly for safety purposes- but once installed they work great and look great, too!

I'm working on making my deck and stairs as safe as possible and I have to say I am liking the metal structures a lot more than the original wood posts. For starters these look nicer, and seem stronger. They don't warp like wood or rot or stain. These seem to hold up well too, so far no bending or rust, but I did use rubber gaskets too. My deck is about 5-6 feet off the ground and provides the entrance to my kitchen, from my driveway, so safety is important as I use this entrance primarily when bring home groceries and such. I think these would be a nice addition or upgrade to most decks.

The posts themselves are pretty decent. The finish is durable powder coating. The base could be a bit bigger for stability when bolting to a wood deck. I ordered corner and straight posts, however only the corner posts came with base covers. Now I'm scouring the Internet trying to find retrofit base covers.

Sometimes I say you get what you pay for but get a lot more for what you pay for with this company they supply with all the little extras and itโs about an eighth of the price of comparable railing systems
