These running boards fit great and bolted right to the truck with no modifications. They are light weight but still very sturdy.

This are the worst running boards i had ever seen, wasted money and time on installing them, as soon as i step on them i felt like they were going to break, they bend down so easy and steps are way too small once you want to get off the truck you gotta be looking for the step as it is so small, and due to the step being so small they look ugly in the truck, and not just that they came with a dent and damaged paint 😡😡😡

I bought a new 1500 Chevy Silverado. They offered to install runners for $1000. Not only did I find them unattractive, I figured I could find a better deal elsewhere. I searched several manufacturers websites and finally here on Amazon. I actually ordered two different boards and was disappointed to find them sold out. Then I stumbled onto these. These actually would have been my first choice had I found them first and am pleased that I was able to get them. They were discounted slightly from $200 and really liked the unimposing profile and look. I also liked the idea of individual steps ass opposed to an entire bar.Shipping took a minute, but they were true to their shipping estimate, so no surprises there. I'm in Alaska, so everything here takes extra time. When I received them, the packaging was pretty beat up and one of the runners was exposed, but no damage; as I would expect from steel running boards. They're not heavy, but they were awkward. They are just as advertised. Nice looking, textured powder-paint over every exposed part. There is also a small red bull logo on the raised middle step. It doesn't bother me, but it can be easily removed by cutting off a rivet if you so desire.Installation was a breeze. Mind you I'm in sub-zero temperatures at the moment, but was still able to install them by myself in about 90 minutes, taking a few breaks to thaw. The first board took about an hour; the majority of time was ensuring I had the proper holes, as there are several bolt holes underneath the carriage. Once I had them figured out, the second runner took less than 30 minutes to install.A few installation pointers: First, you'll need a 1/2 inch socket AND a 1/2 inch wrench. I HIGHLY recommend a ratcheted wrench, as 6 of the bolts are a tight fit, sitting just beyond a flange that makes socket access impossible. Also, the turn radius is compromised by several obstacles, so having a ratcheted wrench is enormously helpful. Aside from that, everything else is included. Be sure to finger-tighten everything until you have the mounting complete, then tighten it all up. Everything lines up perfectly. All of the hardware is identical, so no concerns with matching different screws to the proper parts / holes. If you're installing solo, you'll need something to prop one end of the runner while you start mounting the runner to the truck. I used a standard 5-gallon bucket from Home Depot which was close enough to the proper height to allow me to start the mounting process.Once complete, the boards are solid. The steps align perfectly where you would naturally seek a toe-hold, and they are low enough to provide a nice step up into the truck. Overall I'm very pleased. One review mentioned that the texture may make it difficult to remove some of the dirt. I agree with this, however it's a truck, so I don't really mind. The running boards are a textured black that is set apart from the magnetic black look of the paint on my truck, so I think it'll wear just fine.I'm impressed with the sturdiness , the low profile look, the installation and the functionality of the running boards. I'm very happy with my purchase. And I saved myself $800 from the car dealership and have better boards and I'm only out 90 minutes for the complete install. Nice win for me!

These running boards are really aggressive looking, which I really like about them. I had another pair that was just a straight running board all the way across, and I actually liked them but I recently sold a 4Runner and had gotten some super heavy duty powder coated ones that were just amazing... so I'm comparing both my most recent ones and these with those from my 4runner and honestly neither of them hold a flame to the ones I had... I decided to give these a shot over my most recent straight set because my truck is tall... it's a '21 Silverado 2500HD duramax, and I have a wife and 9 year old daughter who had to climb up in my truck and it's not even lifted or anything... While the previous ones I had helped, it really created a bit of an awkward step for me... If I stepped on them going in or out, it was never really a full or half step... With these, I knew I had a full half step down, so it feels a lot more natural going in and out. Now here's the thing.... most running boards connect to a J style metal bracket that connects directly to the running board making a nice sturdy connection underneath. These have a 2 piece bracket and so the way they connect is ok I guess, but it does leave for a somewhat flimsy connection and so the steps just don't feel 100% firm. I'd say it's about 75-80% of the firmness you would get with a single connection... it's something I cna look past because I'm not jumping on them, but just worth mentioning. Otherwise, I love the way they look, and I don't know that I'll try anything else unless they completely fail, but I don't really foresee that. I think they'd probably be a little better if it were 2 low steps and 1 high step in the middle so you had a little longer of a step, but it's not too bad. Overall, I'm good with these... just a few small things that I found to be different than my last sets.
