The battery didn't fit. I verified that the battery supplied was correct and it was. The cavity to accept the battery was well out of tolerance and the batter didn't sit correctly so this could not be installed on my firearm. I had to return this and I am not sure I wan to try another one. I might just go to my local gun shop and install it there to verify that it fits.Very poor build quality and clearly no final inspection.

I have two Crimson Trace Lasergrips; one for a S&W J-Frame and another for a small Charter Arms revolver. Grips work as advertised; however, the grip for the S&W is more comfortable and easier to "light-up." In my opinion this grip won't be effective in a self-defense situation because zeroing-in the laser to target takes time but I like it as a training aid in target shooting. Interestingly, my (and my wife's) accuracy is better using the handgun fixed sights which I attribute to the increased effort it takes to acquire the target using the laser and holding it on target. I don't see this product as a substitute for a red dot sight.

Work nicely, easy to install, one of the two batteries kept popping out so I placed a piece of tape to secure, worked out fine. Overall, Crimson Trace make quality grips.

I haven’t been to the range yet but very easy to install. They fit my S&W Airweight perfectly. All you need is a small flat head blade screwdriver. The red spot is very bright. I pointed it a a white fence about 10 yards away in bright sunlight and could see it easily. Most self-defense situations happen closer than that. Uses two CR2032 batteries which are included. Replacements are easily obtainable and the information says you get 4 hours from them. That’s a lot. Very pleased with this.

I like the fact that the grips are hard plastic that doesn't stick to my shirts. Also like that they are lighter than the factory rubber grips. Laser works great as usual for all crimson trace grips. My only gripe is that the grip for my second finger doesn't feel anywhere near as good as many other j frame grips. If this was my only grip I would be happy but comparing it to the feel of the factory rubber, and other J frame grips from Altamont, Smith and Wesson, Hogue, etc. It feels the worst. If you really need the laser and don't want the printing of a grip that grabs your shirt, go for it. If you want a grip that feels perfect in the hand, and still doesn't grab or print, there are better options to experiment with.
