Custom knife maker Russ Kommer recognized the need for a simple and affordable emergency tool. Newly redesigned, the ExiTool is highly ergonomic and even more covert when attached to a seatbelt. Don’t turn the ignition without it close at hand.
From his shop in Fargo, North Dakota, Russ designed the ExiTool to fit unobtrusively onto any standard seat belt with a simple folding clasp. It includes a seat belt cutter and a tungsten carbide window breaker with a protective covering. The seat belt cutter has been carefully designed so that is nearly impossible for even the smallest fingers to accidentally reach the blade. The blade is made of high-carbon stainless steel and will cut seat belts in one quick pull.

The tool is tough as I have noticed with all CRKT products. I bought two of these as X-Mas presents for co-workers. I believe they'll work to get you out of a jam.

It seemed like it would do what was required (never had a need to actually test it), however I couldn't get it to stay on my seatbelt, It'd keep popping open on me, and apparently fell out of the car at some point and disappeared.

These things are super awesome and dirt cheap. I've bought maybe 7 or 8 of these for friends and family. It's the kind of thing you don't want to use but, if you need to it's quick and easy to use. And it's always right where you need it.

The multi-tool seems like it would function just fine. It doesn't seem particularly durable. When you put it on your seat belt it constantly gets in the way, and its not unnoticeable, you are quite aware it's on the seatbelt at all times. The other complaint is that it tends to fall off of the seatbelt. I realize there is a fine line to design it to come off easily so that in a situation you can get to it easily, but very frequently I will go to drive my truck and it's laying on the floor because it fell off overnight. So it's a great idea, but needs some work and adjustment.

This seatbelt cutter and window breaker is right where it needs to be, right at the place where you would try to under your seatbelt. Works great I bought 11 to go on my all my cars and all of my kids cars.
