Being discrete about always carrying a knife does have its challenges, however, with this clipped inside my waistband, it's easy. It deploys so easy, is razor sharp (yes, I cut my finger on it playing with it), and has a very small footprint. Do not let the fact that it is a karambit scare you, they are great knives and, especially if trained in them, very effective for personal defense. This is not a knife I would carry to open boxes. I trust my life on the quality of CRKT as I have carried other fixed blade knives for them in a previous occupation.

As someone who loves media and video games pertaining to martial arts, karambits are among the elite in terms of weaponry. As we’re probably all thinking, having it retract and able to be pocketed safely is the dream. I feel as though most buy it for this one reason and it ends up sitting in a desk drawer until there’s no other knives in arms reach and you really need to get into that Amazon package. Not the reality in my case. This knife is so convenient for one handed deployment and much better at protecting the content of a shipping box/package (point your knuckles down, press them into the box, and angle the grip so just the tip is making contact with tape. It will change your life). It fits in pockets moderately well, but admittedly takes up more space than your average folding knife. Well worth the trade off for such a cool and surprisingly functional design. Plus it makes people super confused when I whip it out so that’s a plus. Beware though that you won’t be folding it with one hand, and definitely requires two opposable thumbs.

Love the design as it's something I've never seen before in an Karambit. Once you get using your thumb to open it become second maybe. The one problem I have is the blade material. For the price of the blade you would expect better blade material but that's not the case. I knew it before ordering but paid for the uniqueness of style instead of the blade steel material.I'll see how long the blade hold it the sharpness but so far it's doing a good job on all of these Amazon boxes that came in during Christmas. Next test is on some wood for whittling. The pocket clip is also innovative and works very well. For some reason when I open it the mechanism tends to hang up a little making me use more pressure with my thumb to fully open. I hope with more use it loosens up like the one I tried in a big name fishing store.Lastly, it does fit in my pocket very well so I can see carrying it as a possible EDC knife..maybe. Would I buy another one, probably not but I'm glad I purchased this one.

Very nice quality. It’s a wow…this is a mechanical art. Practice to learn how to use and open. It’s different for sure. Very nice and a cool gift for a friend.

I've been eyeballing these knives for over a year. I finally pulled the trigger on this blue version that was on sale for under $70. This knife is everything I hoped for. Light, but not too light, smooth action, easy to hold, sharp, fun, and unique. The handle is Grivory (search Google) and feels quality. All of the positive reviews I saw on Youtube were accurate.
