Saved thousands $. Had to change RH cam shaft, lifters and rocker arms. Make sure you grab a 12' ext to tap it down center in the middle of timing chain.

I was really hoping this would work. I watched it work in a YouTube Video. I couldn't get the wedge to stay put in the chain enough for me to be comfortable enough to take the cam out. It kept slipping out with ease, or any vibration of parts around it. I am experienced with working on cars and specialty tools, and this just didnt work for me. I may attempt to make one out of wood, because I think the chain would bite onto it a little better. Either way, I wouldn't buy it again.

Tool worked great for holding timing chain tensioner in place while removing the cam. It'll work for left side or right side and is marked to help the tech know which way to turn it.

Picked this up because I was needing to replace a few rocker arms, lifters and camshaft on an older Dodge Durango 4.7 at work. The wedge works as intended and keeps tension on the timing chain so you can replace the valve train components without having to remove the front timing cover. Now if I, or anyone else in the shop runs into another job like this, I'll have the right tool for the job.
