It opens and closes by iteself. One night it repeatly opened fully and closed rapidly by itself, No one is anywhere near it. Then when I try to use it lid opens up just a little. Then closes fast as soon as I try to put trash in it. I swear, this trash can is picking a fight with me!

I thought it was rechargeable but it's not. My mistake. Don't want to change batteries but I should have read it more closely. Giving 5 stars because it's nice and works well. Came with lots of bags.
