I ordered and tried four different closed hi-hat holders and settled on this one. All the others had a receiver fitting that was too wide to accept a plastic tube to protect the cymbal hole. Wear and tear, especially with a closed hi-hat will cause a “keyhole” in the center and ruin the cymbal for resale. This particular model of Touren allowed for tube insertion. If this keyhole effect doesn’t concern you, then there are name brand holders that have better chrome finish and seem sturdier.
