Item arrived with a piece of broken plastic from one of the pieces taped to the tub spout. Why this was shipped this way, I have no idea

Popped the old one off by grabbing one side of the spout with vise-grips and twisting it off, put some plumber's tape (included) on the grooves (wrapped counter clockwise), screwed this one on and vwa-la! Seriously, it was that easy. I'm very happy with the product and the result.

Hose and water selector work as desired. He now can use his bathtub again without changing anything else.

This tub faucet replacement is easy to install and comes with everything needed to do so. Nice and shiny, durable, and sturdy. Diverter works well and stays put. Good value. Getting the old one off was the only issue.

I had it installed in 15 minutes using a screwdriver and some grease (or WD-40). I added a showerhead with a stick-on holder in another 10 minutes. It works great with no leaks at all. I would recommend using a showerhead with an on-off switch. That way you can control the water flow without using the faucet handles and having to adjust the temperature every time. Great for giving the dogs a bath.

This has the appearance of a good product. Unfortunately for me, our Maintenance people were not able to install it. I should have called a plumber. I have missed the deadline for a return so I will keep it in case we move again.I find that universal is not always true in Quebec.

Worked great for adding a hand held shower to my tub. I was a little concerned when I first installed it and turned on the water without the shower hose attached. Water came out both the spigot and the hose nipple at the same time. Once the hose with shower head is hooked up and as long as the shower head is higher than the spigot, then water only comes out of the shower head when the knob is lifted. My particular install had a 3.88 inch long .5 inch iron pipe coming out of the wall and the spigot screwed on with a minimal gap.

I like the fitting for the shower at the front end and not up tight to the wall. Includes all the parts to install on any type of rough in (6 different scenarios)

This faucet was made on the cheap and its noticeable right from the installation. To install this, you need to add a threaded, plastic adapter to the stub out. Once placed, the o ring is put on the stub out in front of the adapter, and then you thread on the plastic extension, which also has threads, so you can thread on the faucet. But before that goes on, you need to add the metal brace with a screw that punches a hole through the extension, and into a slot on the adapter, and tightens against the stub out. This is so you can thread the faucet on without the extension turning. Here is where the problems lie:1. You can't pre-thread the adapter onto the extension. Because of this its extremely difficult to get a proper seal on the o-ring. So you will get water coming back through the faucet on the stub out and potentially back behind the wall.2. Older faucets used an Allen wrench for the bracket that would keep the adapter/extension in place. This is so you could thread the faucet, rotate it, and have leverage to lock it in place. This one uses a PH3. Its overkill in terms of size and ultimately makes it difficult to lock the extension into place. So you get a lot of rotation when threading the faucet in, or it sits a half inch from the tile/wall. That's too far for a decent seal.3. The screw in the brace punches through the plastic threading of the extension. This has to line up with the opening on the adapter. Then the adapter is on the stub out, it rotates very freely with very minimal space to secure it when attaching the extension. It's likely you will back out a thread or two too many to get the alignment, thus being the primary culprit for problem 1.4. Even when I managed to get everything on (except for the proper seal on the o ring, it dripped back to the base of the stub out), the diverter didn't work well. About 10-15% of the water flow still came out the hose bib. This is anavoidable because of the way the diverter mechanism works. Water flows freely to both until you block the faucet, then 100% (at best) goes to the hose. But when the faucet goes, it still goes in the hose just with little pressure. I worry that once you divert from faucet to hose, its make the o-ring problem exceptionally more problematic.5. To get a proper lock without rotation, you are highly likely to puncture the stub out with the screw. A better option would have been a wide clamp the screw tightens down, instead of a screw designed to puncture (the plastic extension) and stop on the stub out (the extension will rotate) finding the sweet spot is like a game of roulette. In short, this feels like a product that was made with a theoretical knowledge, or a disregard for common installation problems. The instructions could be written better as well. IKEA instructions are preferable to the nonsense that came with this faucet.I've included a picture of the instructions. This product really is terrible.

I purchased this unit to replace the same type unit in a rental that I own . With the low price I initially paid , I was worried about the quality however , since this unit was the only thing I could find to replace the existing , I decided to take a chance . I was pleasantly surprised when I received the unit ...sure it is plastic but it gets the job done . The instructions provided were clear and concise and my installation was fast and easy . On these type units , the "weak" part that usually fails is the plastic connection on the bottom where the spray hose connects and if you overtighten whne doing the install , it will snap off . My renter has been using this for a few months now and so far so good !

****About the old Fixture****We’re remodeling a house and we haven’t gotten to the bathroom tub/shower yet. We needed a shower and all we had was a regular spout. The plumber that our landlord hired put in a spout with a shower extension, but it was the wrong size and it leaked when the shower was engaged.****About the Danco Fixture****This fixture though came with the parts to either be used with a full length pipe coming from the wall or a short one. That made my job a lot easier. I used a little thread tape and tightened it on, but not too tight. Suddenly we had a shower that didn’t leak and we had improved water pressure! Between this and another purchase we’ve saved 1000 gallons of water a month! The only thing I don’t like about this product is that the extension is basically on the spout itself. I would have preferred coming out the side so that the main spout could work unhindered. Still, it was cheap and easy to install. It will do the trick until I can do a full remodel.
