When you buy something as expensive as an op-1 field, you’re going to want to give it some protection during transport or even from dust if you want to leave it on a desk. It fits perfectly on the face of the op-1 field and also fits on the unit inside the stock op-1 field white carry bag. Can’t say the same for the regular op-1 as I don’t have one but for the field, it’s perfect.

What’s not to like? It’s everything u can ask for if u want to protect the device from dust at the same time u can see it sitting on your desk with all it’s details because the case is see-thru so it looks awesome on the desk, better then a bag to be honest.

Fits the OP-1 well, but I use a rubber band to secure it when in a bag. Great and much more stylish than black nylon

Would advise using the decksaver in conjunction with the rubber bands that come with the OG packaging from the op1. Then put the decksaver and the op1 into an actual case and you will have a decently protected Op1. It is stupid expensive for what it is, but what are ya gonna do? They have to develop the injection mold fo each item so it is what it is...

At first I thought this polycarbonate cover was an overpriced indulgence, until I got it. Now I'm glad to have it and am impressed with it's quality. It fits like a glove. Across all four corners it mates perfectly with my OP-1, with just the slightest bit of friction or grab along the sides, exactly what you would want. The shape is perfect and I'm confident if its level of protection. I haven't decided on a case yet but may settle on the Meme, which has cut outs that fit around this cover.

I got this so I could throw my OP-1 into a laptop bag and jam on the go. In my case, on the go (for now) just means moving some gear from my home studio upstairs to the living room couch downstairs so I don't disturb my daughter while she's in her room and going through a rough time as far as getting her to sleep through the night goes.I would certainly trust this to be in a bag short term and move place to place when you know you won't be in a rush and can be careful but I would not throw this in a bag without also putting a cover around the entire OP-1 if I were actually leaving the house and carrying it around on a daily basis.This is really great for those times when you're not really playing music for a while and just want to keep the OP-1 free from dust and keep those beautiful keys from getting gunked up. It's also great for use with most soft cases. I can't find many good hard cases for the OP-1 so using this in addition to a soft case would take care of it well. You'd be able to throw the OP-1 in a bag and feel confident it was safe if you had both.I really like that the Decksaver has a bit of a suction cup feel to it. It actually fits so well that it's air tight and will actually lift the whole unit partially just by lifting the Decksaver on its own. Of course, it isn't meant to literally fit onto it so tightly that it becomes like a case so you have to find a way to keep the cover on when in a bag. It mostly stays in place but I've been using the rubber bands that come with the OP-1. Unfortunately, those are a bit too big and loose so I wrap them around the OP-1 and Decksaver at an angle so that it'll keep it in place while it's in my bag.I would have given this 5 stars but mine came with a scratch near the corner closest to the built-in mic which I don't think affects its integrity or fit on the unit but for $50 I would think I'd get a product that didn't come with a scratch built in.

I wasn't really excited to spend $50 on a cover, but I couldn't be more pleased with this polycarbonate cover. The fit is made specifically for the OP-1 and kind of snaps or flexes onto the OP-1 and covers the keys and knobs only. The fit is tight enough that you can pick up the OP-1 just by the cover, and it still leaves the imput jacks accessible while in place... which is nice if you want to charge it. I pretty much keep the cover on whenever I'm not using the OP-1, kind of like you'd use a turtable dust cover. I haven't tried this, but the plastic feels sturdy enough that you could sit on it without incident. Made in the UK, the color is kind of transparent smoky grey. If you were traveling with this on your OP-1, I feel like you could throw it in a duffle bag or briefcase without worry, though you might want to wrap it in a teeshirt or cloth to keep the paint on the OP-1 from getting scratched by other itmes in the bag and to ensure that the case didn't pop off. I read one reviewer likes to use those silicone wristbands as straps to make sure it's tightly in place, so that would be another option as well.

Fits well - rests on top - does NOT snap or lock in - but I don't think it's supposed to. This thing feels solid and durable. A rubber band around it keeps it locked in.Pricey, yes, but so is everything else in the OP-1 realm - happy with this purchase.

Fits like a glove on my OP-1. Hard to tell if other reviewers received a defective product, but the one I got works as advertised. I thought it would simply act as a loose cover, but it actually hangs on to the OP-1 snug enough that I can lift the unit up with it. It's made of thick polycarbonate and offers some serious protection for your thousand-dollar investment. I use it in conjunction with the for worry-free travel. And like another reviewer mentioned, it makes a great stand for the OP-1 when flipped upside-down! Worth every penny.
