Does cool some, but after awhile I am back to sweating under it again if I don’t have a fan blasting on me directly. But very soft and silky, breathable fabric. Lightweight, decent value for my money!

This is our first cooling blanket and I was definitely skeptical of the claims, but wow - this is pretty amazing! I can’t believe how much this actually does stay cool.Overall, the blanket is fairly lightweight and feels nice. It is a great option for spring and summer here in the southwest. The material is relatively soft feeling against the skin… but, the highlight is how the material feels substantially cooler than anything around it. And, if you feel like an area is warming up against your skin, you can just shift to another area. Then, it seems like after just a minute or two the area you moved from is already cooling back down again.Recommended - especially for hot sleepers!

To avoid any confusion as to the product description herein under review, the actual product description as posted by the seller on his Amazon marketing webpage is: Deconovo Cooling Comforter, Cold Touch Fabric Absorbs Body Heat Cool Sleeping Summer Blanket, Cool Design Soft Fluffy Cooling Blanket for Night Sweats Hot Sleeper (Blue, 59x79 Inch).Price-point during this review: $27.99.The first thing that strikes me (as in 'caught my attention') about this item, currently under my review as a member of Amazon's Vine Voice reviewer team, is the very low Amazon-listed price-point for it.Since I'd already been quite attracted to these recently popular, 'hi-tech' fabric material bed comforters, I had several opportunities to acquire some of them for the four bedrooms in my home. By now, I've thoroughly tested and used several iterations of them from various Amazon vendors, and with all of them, the pricing has been roughly double, or more often triple the price of this item currently under my review. So, let's see how and why this might have come about as to its quality and type of material(s) that comprise the makeup of this product.1) The first thing item that most stands out to me is that this product's outer fabric covering (the double-sided parts that contact a user's skin) is totally different in its fiber/fabric composition than any of the others I've tried and successfully deployed in my home's bedrooms. This one has a 'rough-like' texture and, for sure, isn't sleek and elegant like all the others the various members of my household (and overnight house-guests as well) are currently using with great success. All of these latter variants utilize a very lightweight, slick, 'slippery-like', 'cooling', modernistic-like fabric to achieve their implied goals of providing sleep-time protection against 'cool-ish' environments.2) So, while this product does seem to function as a decent "summer blanket" (as its seller so declares in his Amazon marketing webpage), it's comparison with its predecessors in my household mostly involve its weight-factor and whether I actually 'buy into' the fact it supposedly possesses the main quality that attracts most buyers to these craze/rave type sleep-covering products - - namely the purported cooling aspects inherent in all of them (which incidentally, I've still yet to detect and confirm from any of them as well).Accordingly, the comparison between this one and its predecessors are as follows:PROS:1) The highly attractive, low price-point of this one.2) Its purported (by this Amazon seller) skin-friendly feature, as I've yet to experience any adverse skin effects from using this product.3) A nice-looking, two-sided fabric design that looks somewhat decent (see my description in my summation below) when stored on top of any bed.4) Machine-washable and dry-able.5) Although not as elegant-looking as those made from the more luxurious types of fabrics, this one has a major advantage of not constantly slipping off the bed's mattress when not in use. Its 'rougher', thicker surface texture provides a bit of 'friction' that impedes any of the annoying slippage features of its competitors.6) Well-made craftsmanship is apparent in all aspects of this item.CONS:1) Owing to its 50% thicker composition, it's obviously not as lightweight as the others that we've tried and currently still use (with this one held out for practical, 'emergency' use as the case may arrive - - such as cold wintry nights). So, as the numbers attest vis-à-vis the above Pros and Cons comparison, the "Pros" win out, and I thus afford it a good 4 stars' rating - - as I still feel a top 5 stars' rating is unwarranted owing to the lack of that special, high-class, elegant look of the others I've referenced during the course of this review.

This comforter is wonderfully soft. It is lightweight and the cooling effect does work.My wife loves having blankets on for sleeping, and when sitting on the couch so this works well during the hot summers. At $44, it is very well priced.
