I was looking forward for the arrival of this LED 4 foot light. Unfortunately, the description had led me to misunderstand that this was a bulb only and it needed a fixture, That being said the tube arrives in a very heavy round tube that protects it extremely well and it arrived safe and sound. I had a fixture that usually had fluorescent tube in it. Once I had that figured out the installation went quickly. I installed the light fixture under my carport. My reasoning for that was I do a lot of work under the carport. I have been involved in upholstery, as a hobby, for several years. It is something that I only do for our personal vehicles and furniture. I will often need a light to see what I'm doing, if I'm working in the evening, to install interiors. It is also nice to sit under the carport and visit with friends and this LED light keeps the area nice and bright. I am extremely happy with the light output with this LED 4 foot bulb provides. Just make sure you have a fixture so that you can use it right away.

This is a solid quality T8 LED tube light. Bright light emission and more efficient. It also has built in emergency light for up to 90minutes which is a nice feature to have incase of emergency power outage.

Everyone knows the vast majority of fire codes necessitate a lit "exit" sign by all emergency exit doors of a commercial building. That light is great, when you're by the door. But if you're 30 feet from the door, it might not be enough to see a myriad of trip hazards that can exist in the workplace.Putting one of these lights in, say, ever other fixture, over main aisleways and over dark spots, can help your people leave the building safely in case of a power outage. Without any additional equipment, no wiring UPS's or anything like that. Just pop this in the fixture, and pow, everyone's safer. Talk about effortless.Some might say 90 minutes isn't long enough, but if you can't get out of a building in an hour and a half, you might be in trouble, lol. I think a 90 minute battery life is MORE than enough, and odds are the lights are going to be back on in 5 minutes.Overall, I have no issues with this at all. I hope putting these everywhere becomes standard. 5 stars.

I got this for power outages,just in case. Nice light,has a light to show its charging. Works well,and puts out good light.

While I can see that this battery backup LED fluorescent light replacement can be very useful, it did not work for our purposes. I was trying to replace an existing fluorescent light in our closet and, given the power outages we occasionally have, thought the battery backup would be handy. We had this light installed, albeit with some difficulty, but quickly realized that it needed to be on essentially 24/7. That, in fact, is its real strength. This is the perfect light for a commercial or industrial facility where a hallway (for example) is lit all the time to facilitate egress. During a power outage, this light would remain lit allowing people to exit a facility safely. It does not, however, work where the light is only occasionally on because that battery does not have the opportunity to fully charge. Our installer found the instructions for wiring a little confusing. This light might have worked for us if we had a remote that would turn off the light while leaving the wall switch on all the time to charge the battery in the light.PROS• This is a nice bright light with a battery backup.• This is an ideal light for an industrial or commercial facility where the light must remain on 24/7.• The light remains lit when the power goes off.CONS• Our installer found the instructions a little confusing.• A remote that shuts the light off while the wall switch remains on to charge the backup battery would make this useful even in a home where the light is not on all the time.
