This part fixes the speedometer not working, even though you may still be able to drive. When my old VSS malfunctioned, my car's speedometer started randomly moving up and down suddenly while driving on the highway. I couldn't tell how fast I was driving and had to match traffic. Replacing the VSS fixes that. This VSS has good weight on it. The plastic feels strong. And the metal gear spins freely. It also looks like there's silicone paste on the metal gear.I haven't installed it on my car yet since it's winter outside. But I've done the job in the past. It's a pretty easy and straightforward job. You need a 10mm socket. You do have to remove the air filter and it's components. The part is near the firewall of the car and deep down on the back of the transmission. Watch some YT videos or look at a diagram to find it.I don't have any cons with this product. I think it's a solid buy.
