Used them to bring a couple of railroad lanterns back to life. Had to modify the lantern like I new I would, but very pleased with the results

I have a very old (70 +) Dietz lantern that I used as a child that was flaring up and not burning properly, stamped as Number 2. I received the new burner and used calipers to determine that it should fit. I saw that the burner just pushes down into a receiver just above the tank - knowing that my old one would be "welded" into place I chose to cut the old burner in two just above the wick adjustment. That exposed metal edges of the old burner that I could then use vice-grips to carefully peal away from the receiver attached to the tank. It worked! The new burner pushed right into the receiver and the lantern works perfectly. Amazing how it revitalized my old childhood lantern.

Design consistent with original, and quality seems fine, but diameter slightly too large to fit my vintage lantern. The dimensions of modern lanterns must have drifted up a little compared to the old ones.
