I'm sure it would've been great, but I think it relies on hose pressure (and probably reduces it somewhat). I got it installed, setup the app, connected, etc. with no problem. But the drain capacity was reduced to a small fraction, then if any debris was ingested, the screen protecting the meter clogged completely. Bummer. Like I said, nice, just not fit for drains.

I have two units installed on the cold water feed to my heater serving my dishwasher and high efficiency clothes washer and cold water clothes washer. For the first time I can evaluate the water efficiency of these appliances which is relevant to future appliance upgrades. It’s easy to use and the associated mobile app records and stores the overall consumption by period. It’s all plastic construction so requires care in installation and handling. I still have to verify its accuracy so for now I use the data as approximate records. I highly recommend as value for money of this technical device.

These flow meters are just what I was looking for monitoring and verifying all our automatic garden watering.We have many automatic valves controlling drip tape and traditional sprinkler circuits and it's always a leap of faith that they're doing their job. Not only does this product allow me to verify that various gardens and planters are getting watered properly, it is eye-opening to see just how much water I'm using.I ordered two kits to monitor four separate watering circuits and I am impressed that I can seamlessly use both of the included hubs on one account, ensuring good reception from the meters (which are widely distributed on our property).The free app and back-end data storage are responsive and well thought out, giving me all the data views I need, and historical views as well. There's no apparent way to export this data, but a few occasional screenshots should give me the details I need to keep.I currently have four flow meters (two kits) and at this price point, I will buy several more to give me greater granularity of watering data.It's obvious from the app menu selections during setup that there are more devices than just flow meters available from this manufacturer (valves, switches, etc.) but I haven't seen these other products available on Amazon yet. Based on the great app and quality I'd certainly entertain buying into their expanded ecosystem!

It sounded like a great product but returned it because it requires access to my local network and uses software developed in China. After reading the software license agreement I determined it was not worth the risk to potentially compromise my network security and access to all my data in my household.

I bought this to monitor output from our home's Geothermal system. It waa easy to hook it up in-line at the water discharge.I've had a bit of trouble with our pump shutting off. When that happens no heat or AC.Loading the app and setting everything was a breeze. The instructions were perfect.Today, when I was out of town I was able check for output quickly using the app.Absolutely very pleased with this flow meter.

I bought this to use in my camper and really like them. Why 4 stars instead of 5? The way these work is first they connect to a supplied hub and them to your phone app. Problem is the hub being 120v. We boondock camp and only use 12v batteries, so to get readings from the device I have to run the generator to power the hub. Not ideal for my needs. On the plus side the hub has a very good Bluetooth range.

Setup was straight forward, not different from other "smart devices" like this that I've used. I've been using this for a couple of months to monitor my chickens' water usage and so far, it just works. You do have to calibrate it, though, mine was off by about 2%. Just fill up a 5 gallon bucket of water a couple of times to get a good sample, and adjust accordingly in the app.
