Bought this for neck position in a 1980's Fender Bullet S-2 (along with a DiM Cutter in the bridge position) specifically to eliminate the original pickup's horrible noise. The Cruiser has an excellent vintage-like sound with very low noise even at high gain. Nice bell-like tone, with sufficient bluesy grunge when pushed harder without being super-hot.

I own a budget Kramer. I made the Kramer have a Andy Timmons set up, and this guitar now rips. You would not think this was a under $200 guitar from how it sounds now. These pickups should fit any standard single coil slot for top loading or pickgaurd.It has plenty of gain to really get some lead tones out of it just like what Andy does if you have heard any of his tracks. I would recommend this set up!

I have a Mexi made HSS strat. Changed out the neck pickup for this one. I was looking for something a little more modern, but not insanely hot and clean.The Cruiser turned out to be a nice fit for my needs. First, the hum-cancelling is great. Second, this thing is way better quality than the pickup that was on there, so I can actually get a better Single Coil sound AND more modern sound. That's because this thing really changes with Tone pot. The output is good, too, in matching with the middle pickup and humbucker, so I can change the pickups without being concerned with gain changes.DiMarzio makes a fine product. They are a good price, and their website is designed to really show the differences in the models. I also emailed them questions a few times and got prompt responses.There is a downside. I only had money for the neck pickup, and now I want to change them all out! Thanks DiMarzio
