This is a really great pickup. It’s got the clarity you need for a tele neck pickup, along with a little midrange punch which I find a lot of Tele neck pickups lacking. Please note: it’s not RWRP so keep that in mind if your looking for noise cancellation in the middle position.

Got this pickup because I wanted as bright as possible in the neck position... it IS bright and it does have a sweet tone.... BUT, it is significantly weaker than the Antiquity I was replacing... the Antiquity has more volume and pushes the front end of the amp harder... AND the Antiquity has all the top end I need and to my ears even better tone!... Nice pickup, but a thank you to DiMarzio for confirming that the Antiquity continues to be my fave in the neck!

Got this over a year ago for a build. This neck has a ton of brightness, something that most tele neck pickups lack. Mine really has that neck strat sound and this is now my favorite tele neck pickup of all time. Over a year and a half later and I still haven’t found another neck pickup that comes close to this one.

I have several telecasters and have had several pickups installed. This is by far the best! Rich, sweet harmonic content. It makes me want to play on the neck position which I usually don't. I play country and jazz-perfect neck pickup. It's single coil and I shielded the neck cavity, now no hum.

Last week I bought the Pre B-1 to replace an overly bright bridge pickuo, and today I installed the Twang King in the same guitar to replace a muddy sounding neck pickuo. The guitar now sounds perfectly balanced. Neck and middle settings are more lively, and all three positions sound fantastic.

First time DiMarzio user here. The Twang King is just what I was looking for in a Tele neck pickup. Brighter than a typical vintage style pickup, it's very responsive to dynamics & pairs well with the SD Broadcaster that I have in the bridge. The build quality also looks great & seems very sturdy. Great value also! I can see this pickup living in my Telecaster for many years to come.

I cant say anything bad about this pick up. It sounds so good! It makes me want to constantly play my guitar just to hear the tone of it. Best neck tele pick up by far. it is a very versatile pickup, Perfect for blues, chicken pickin country, funk, even jazz! Just roll off some highs with your tone control and you can achieve a pretty convincing hollow body jazz guitar sound. I've installed this pickup to a 2011 american standard tele. I paired the twang king neck with the dimarzio chopper t in the bridge just cuz i like richie kotzen's tone. Boy im so glad i did that cuz what a difference it made to my telecaster. Richie kotzen knows good tone. It sounds so good! I even went further to copy richie kotzen wiring the bridge and neck pickups in series with a push pull pot. The twang king in the neck in series with the chopper gave my tele a hot mid boost. perfect for leads! Awesome pickups.
