First of all, I have built about a dozen of these kits. This one has issues...1 - The pieces do not detach from the sheets easily... I am not heavy handed, but had a hard time trying to get some of the delicate pieces to break free from the sheet. A few even broke while trying... Disappointing. No spares?????2 - The instructions are quite hard to follow. The directions for the lights are too vague.3 - You need a lot of glue as 90% of the pieces do not fit well enough on their own.4 - The printing on the sheets seem faded, not vibrant at all.Overall the completed kit is OK... You do need a lot of patience to get it to completion.

I've done several book nooks now, and overall, this was an easy kit to assemble. I liked the fact that the pieces had coloring on both sides instead of just one side. The kit has a touch switch that glows red and can be seen through the kit when the battery box switch is on, which I didn't particularly care for, but the battery box does have an on and off switch on it if you don't like the red glow. However, getting to it is somewhat inconvenient as it is on the bottom of the nook.

Don't get me wrong, this thing looks really cool. I put a few xenomorph minis in it too.It was harder to put together than I expected. The small clear circle is held up by friction alone. I decided to bypass it completely because by time I got to that point in assembly, it was too difficult to attempt gluing it on.

I know some people would love how much work goes into this project. Personally, all of the books to put together was a lot and I grew tired of all the extra. Worth the price, and beautiful when finished, but tedious.

I really had fun doing this one it took me 4 hours from start to finish. The instruction are easy and the color picture are a great help it was very relaxing to do a simple one for a change.

I love putting things together like this and this was an enjoyable experience. The pieces came together nice a tight making a great fit. The joint system used made the notches obvious though, giving the impression of lesser quality. All the decorations were also make of wood and didn’t offer that real 3D feel like other kits. For example, the bottles on the shelf were just wood cutouts. I have seen other kits creatively use beads and things to make it more realistic. That is probably the biggest disappointment. I will be repainting the furniture to make it look less jointed and more elegant. I really like the sensor option. That is the other primary reason I selected this kit. Overall, fun, not too hard, and well designed.

Excellent kit. Very easy assembly. Thick, sturdy and richly colored boards. Instructions were the best I've had for a miniature kit; color, very accurate English manual. No missing parts. This kit is a lot of fun to build, very detailed and one of the best all around. Also, makes a beautiful gift.
